Food was amazing. Price is reasonable. Staff are very nice. One of the staff recommended us to try one of their desserts & my god, it was "a treat from heaven"!!! It made our day! And before we left, we got more treats! We were handed a bag with 3 different kinds of liquor! This restaurant is well worth a try! Thanks for a giving us a great experience!

What a great lunch spot during our pilgrimage via car to Santiago. We followed the directions on trip advisor and were super glad that we found this tucked away hidden gem. First you have a 180+ view of the water and the bridge. We ordered three fish dishes the hake, the sea bass and a local fish that the hostess recommended. They were all wonderful and VERY generously portioned. The service was friendly and unobtrusive by Rosio.

If you happen to be in or near Castropol (Asturias, Spain) There's a hotel restaurant called Casa Vicente on the N640. Don't hesitate, EAT. The restaurant has views over the ria and the food is delicious (peppers stuffed with shellfish). Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent and the waiters are friendly, attentive but not overbearing.

Casa Foguete

Old established restaurant, plenty of choice good value for money with food from the region. Now run by an English lady who was most helpful and advised on best Beaches, and what was going on in the area. definitely worth a visit!

We went to the beach and we were really hungry. It was close to 3:00 PM, and every other restaurant in the area rejected us because of the time. The people from Casa Foguete welcome us and served us quickly. The food was delicious. Maybe too much food, but since the beginning we said we were starving. The price was honest. We had a great time there. We were 4 adults and 2 children. One thing that surprised us, was the big smile on the waitress. She was happy all the time.

We were looking for a quick bite around 8pm. Very basic layout but it suited us -super speedy service and the staff gave us an English menu. Dishes limited in number as you'd expect but delicious, we had squid, empanadas and Padron peppers, and a good glass of red wine all for €12 each.

We ate there last week: Octopus, and seafood-rice. Everything was incredibly good, specially the rice and I'm not a rice-fan ! We ate it with albarino wine, reccommended by the waiter and it was good and not the most expensive.
Desserts: Rice with milk and pudding with cream, homemade and delicious !
I totally reccommend the place, because of the food of course but also the guys there, nice and helpful !

We dined here on two consecutive nights, the first evening's meal being so enjoyable that we resolved to return for a second. On both occasions we dined in the restaurant rather than the bar and were looked after by the brilliant Maria who suggested first and second courses which we could share between the four of us. Her recommendations were excellent and at no point did she try to sell us more than we needed (so we had three dishes for each course when it would have been easy to convince us that four were required). The food was hearty and enjoyable with accompanying wine to match. All in all this was a great find.

Restaurante Pena Mar

In late September, we seemed to be the only tourists at Pena Mar restaurant, although judging by the spacious dining room, it expects to cater for bigger crowds in the main holiday season. We were shown into a more intimate Seating area, by the Parilla. This felt extremely local and it had a really good ambience. We have never forgotten our meal there, as the quality of the food was really good. This is not haute cuisine, it is earthy fare - cooked to perfection and served directly off the grill. My husband has still not recovered from the sheer enormity of the beef chop he had!
A tasty and very reasonably priced dinner.

The food was very good...scallops for starters, then a house speciality ..lobster with the rice..I'm not sure we got the right desert menu..all we received was a card with ice cream choices from a local company...it was hard to crack a smile from the staff...there seems to be 2 dining areas..we would have been preferred to be in the less formal/busier area
