Big Juds Country Diner

Reviewed By Boyd B - Orem, Utah

The motel staff recommended Big Jud's as having the best burgers in this part of Idaho and after our first visit we definitely agree. My Pastrami Burger was outstanding and the Mushroom Burger and Sweet Potato Waffle Fries were also very good. We arrived about 5:30 just before the carloads of others arrived. By the time we left the line outside included more than 20 people waiting for a table. Go early if you can, but don't mind a wait for great food, good service, and a fun atmosphere.

Millhollow Frozen Yogurt

Reviewed By Griffeth B - Nevada

We've been visiting Millhollow for more than a decade. This local frozen yogurt and sandwich shop won't disappoint!

Atmosphere is nice, food is great, and the customer service is generally excellent. Beyond a variety of dozen yogurts and hot sandwiches, they also serve cookies and salads as well.

If you're in a hurry, they've got a drive-thru as well. Parking is limited, so get here soon--ha.

Well done, Millhollow. We'll be back again soon.

The Cocoa Bean Cupcake Cafe

Reviewed By bexxspencer

The cupcakes are good but I don't think it's worth 5 stars. The frosting on all of the cupcakes is so thick and sugary, I can literally feel a cavity forming. It's just too much.

However, they have great apple caramel cider in the fall, and good hot cocoa. I recommend the drinks. I only like their huckleberry ice cream (best as a milkshake). Cake pops are a great alternative if a cupcake is too rich for you, but I advise against the Raspberry Lemon and Madagascar Vanilla cake pops- those have been disappointing for me. Better Than Sex is by far the best cupcake and cake pop flavor and I highly recommend it over everything else.

The Hickory

Reviewed By Lynn J - South Jordan, Utah

We were staying in Rexburg, ID to rest and to have a day at Yellowstone National Park, which is a reasonable drive from there. We were in the mood for BBQ and chose to eat at The Hickory on Main St. in Rexburg on night. Both of us chose to eat Pulled Pork dinners, although my husband likes spicier sauce, and I liked their original sauce, which is sweeter. A third sauce, which is mustard BBQ sauce, was also available. The pork comes to the table without sauce, and the customer adds the sauce of his choice from a bottle on the table. Other BBQ items are also available on their menu.

The place has clean, but not fancy décor. We were greeted warmly at the door and shown to our table. After dinner, which was so hefty a serving that we (we're seniors and eat less) had to take a box back to our hotel room. Thankfully, we had a small refrigerator. We decided we wanted dessert, so we ordered one serving of their cobbler, which comes with vanilla ice cream. The staff was kind enough to give us those in separate dishes, so I could skip the ice cream. Everything was just fine, but not outstanding. The price was reasonable; the place clean and welcoming. There was plenty of parking, as this place is in a strip mall back from Main Street.

The location near Great Scotts has a simple atmosphere, and it is pretty quick between order and delivery of the food, but wasn't spectacular. There are other place in town that have better food. I felt like it was a bit crowded and lacked atmosphere.

This is the hot spot at lunch time for students and locals. You can get a grilled cheese sandwich and ice cream for lunch. The ice cream variety is really good. Everyday has a special flavor. They also have a small selection of groceries. It is a fun place to stop by for ice cream.

Creamy and delicious! There are lots of flavor combinations. Try the vanilla mixed with Kit Kat and hot fudge! For a smaller portion, the hot fudge sundae was just right. It is pricey but it's a fun place to go. The place is clean and the staff is very friendly.

Pizza Pie Cafe

Reviewed By Waukesha_Bob - Waukesha, Wisconsin

We were there mid-evening for dinner. The place was busy but not packed. However, there was nowhere available to sit. They had whole sections blocked off, and where there was open seating the tables weren't cleared. We had to round up staff to clear a table for us. Very dirty all over all night.

The food was reasonable pizza. Surprisingly small variety considering how much pizza they had out. The salad bar was average too. Reasonable price for what you got.

If they were able to keep the empty tables cleared I would have given this four stars.
