Five generations of wine production in today's 13-hectare vineyard in Prechtl Zeller village. After completion of the viticultural school in Klosterneuburg and agricultural studies at the University of Agricultural Sciences Franz Prechtl in 1993 adopted the traditional mode of his parents and since then, together with his wife Petra, their character wine academic, a recognized winery specializing made the winery Gruner Veltliner. Their various wine district DAC feature varietal flavors and finesse, the white to emphasize the different layers and soil conditions in accordance with the winemakers. The wines from Weingut Prechtl are regularly represented in the Salon of Austrian wine. Their motivation they draw from the contact with the people, the common pursuit in the family, as well as successes and awards that show that the effort is always worthwhile.

Nice interior, few tables also outside, non smoking place, Italian cuisine, Moravian wines, friendly staff...
We had steak, gnocchi and spaghetti. Meals were great but not excellent. We also missed bike holders.
So far the best restaurant in Znojmo we've discovered during our frequent trips there.

Ausserhalb der Innenstadt in einer Seitengasse versteckt, ein echter Geheimtipp.
Typischer Heuriger mit "Gittis Bratlfettbrot" und einigen offenen Weinen.
Das Service war perfekt, wir saßen im Garten, innen eher klein.
Wir kommen wieder!

Whether you want breakfast, a coffee break, or just the best ice cream in the area. Elmer's Cafe is the place to go. In summer time you can enjoy the main square in Retz while doing so.
The inside is only suitable for people that do not mind smoke. In winter time, when the front door is closed, the air can get very smokey...

We had dinner here a few weeks ago. It is a fun looking place, great menu, fun cocktails, big booths and fun decor. They were very friendly to begin with also, but execution was a problem. The cocktails were expensive but good, but took a long time to get. I was okay with that. There were three of us, and we each ordered a soup appetizer, two of us ordering the soup of the day. When they came, they were all the other soup, and we mentioned two of them were wrong, and they said, 'oh sorry, we are out of that one.' They would have taken it back but we decided to go with the flow and eat it. It took a long time to get the soup. Then finally two of our dinners came. Mine was not hot at all. It was a pasta, part of the daily menu. But I didn't dare send it back since it took so long to get. Then they sort of implied the other meal would come soon. Both my husband and I tried to eat really slow waiting for the other meal. None of the servers seemed particularly concerned and we finally asked. It still took a ridiculous amount of time to get the third meal. At that point I was pretty much done with mine, even eating super slow. And that third meal wasn't hot either! My daughter definitely wasn't sending that one back. One server asked us if anyone had apologized and we said no. She apologized, but it might have been good to offer the meal for free, or complimentary cocktails or something. I write very few bad reviews but I'm afraid I had to on this one, especially since it seemed fairly pricey. I hope it was just a bad night for them.

The restaurant is located in ground floor of hotel Savannah and is maden in the same way as the whole very nice hotel is. The sitting is comfortable and the whole ambience is truly nice. The service is good and the dishes are very tasty.
You can also choose from wide selection of wines or find something delicious in the dessert menu.

The restaurant Althof is located in the hotel Althof Retz and it offers (one) of the best place where to go for dinner in Retz and nearby.
The interior is very nice and maden in traditional style and the menu offers austrian dishes in a little bit more healthy way. The food and wine is delicious completed by very good service and very nice ambience.
We were there many times, like it and come often back to enjoy great dinner. Highest recommanded!

Heute bin ich mit meiner Frau nach Retz gefahren und habe dieses Lokal besucht.
Das Service freundlich und schnell trotz eines vollen Lokals die bestellten Suppen wurden rasch und sehr heiß serviert , die Hauptspeisen waren geschmackvoll bodenständig und sehr reichlich , trotzdem
haben wir noch Nachspeise bestellt und können auch hier nur unser Lob aussprechen.
Zusammenfassung : Sehr gute Küche
