Had a great experience at Biceps. Nice, charming little place that used to be a pizza shack. A-1 service, thanks to the smiling and funny staff. Efficient and quick service. Our food was superb, not much to say about it besides that it was very tasty, well cooked and smoked, generous servings. The only weak notes/ constructive criticism would be:1. They had âspecial drinksâ on the menu such as the Biceps Ceasar with whisky. On a personal note, I donât understand people who like that. We asked the polite waitress to switch the whiskey for the classic vodka and we were denied! We all thought that was very sad and poor decision. Who cares if itâs the special recipe of the mixologist? In all cases, the answer should have been: of course sir we can change that, our pleasure. 2. Donât get the table near the smoker. There was a constant cold draft of air from the A/C. Even though they were kind enough to lower it temporarily, it came back and some of us were cold and our food became cold quick. You are also in the way of the waiters and waitresses. Obviously, a popular place like this, you need to reserve in advance and there is two sittings time. Price is on the expensive side but understandable and since the quality is there, it is worth it. In conclusion, make sure to try the place if you fancy great bbq and a unique atmosphere.

Decided to stop in without a reservation. The host got us a great table. So far so good. Things turned down from there. Took forever for the waiter to acknowledge our presence. Not the end of the world. He was busy and the place seemed mostly crowded. The bad part happened when it took 1 hour 20 minutes (!) for entrees to show up after ordering. The place had thinned out a bit so the delay was hard to understand. They blamed on it a "big party" downstairs. I'm guessing someone screwed up. The food itself was OK, not great. I eventually had to head to the host station to pay the bill myself since the waiter had gone MIA. I think this place means well, but their execution was terrible. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place deserved it. Wildly overrated on Tripadvisor with the other options available in QC. You're better off taking your dining someplace else.Bonjour,I will not argue with you about what you write about us. Some people like you don't understand that sometime things can get out of control, that people can make mistakes or forget about thing. we are beeing human and trying our best. you came without a reservation, we squeeze you in but the what you cannot see is that this night our three floor were full. Usually you are using only two but this night there was a special party on the third floor. Maybe our mistake was to try to accommodate you. Our job is not so easy, Because this summer your had to refuse people in because we were too busy, but they saw a few table available and did write a bad review because we refused to accomodate them. at the door, you people make our decision hard to make.hope you did enjoy your stay in québec.Stéphane Roth, owner.

My colleagues and I went to La Cohue last night for dinner and we had a great meal. The food selection is good and the service was impeccable. The soup to the coffee was warm and tasteful. I will definitely go back. The only negative it is from the outside, you have the feeling that the restaurant is closed....the amount of snow on the restaurant summer terrasse give you a not so good impression. The restaurant was busy last night with a Pharma company dinner presentation but they had a table in a quiet section.... Kudo to our waiter...great service and presence

Wow where to even start with this review. What a humbling experience. I knew we would be dining in the dark but the naive visually blessed me expected that there would be some visibility. There is absolutely none. It is pitch black. The first few seconds of hanging on to your serverâs shoulder is anxiety inducing but shortly you feel your way to the table and find your glass and cutlery and you are good to go. You enjoy your dinner in complete darkness and with one sense completely removed you try to decide what you are eating and drinking. We thought pork was chicken and didnât realise the dish we enjoyed so much included black pudding, something we would never have knowingly ordered. The staff are incredible and so generous in sharing their stories with us. We had a wonderful night and cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

Celebrated a graduation tonight at Laurie Raphael. Took 5 course menu ($155 p.p.) with sommelier wine pairing ($80 p.p.). Food was fantastic! Price tag is high but the experience is worth it. I was disappointed with the wine service. The selection of wines was perfect for each dish but...when I expressed a doubt on one red wine, suggesting it might be corked, the server challenged my taste. She had me compare two bottles of the same wine. Unusual, but who knows, maybe my taste buds were tired. Well, a quick sniff convinced me more than ever that the bottle was corked. No need to taste. I confidently returned the two glasses and asked the server to smell them herself. She smelled them both and started giving me a chemistry lesson to explain that it wasnât corked. Enough with that, i asked for an alternative selection which I got. In addition to the cork story, I was further disappointed to learn that there was no wine pairing with the cheese plate. This really surprised me. No wine with the cheese. Now one would expect that our glasses would at least be refilled with the wine from the previous service, but no. No more wine. We had 3 empty wine glasses on the table while we ate our cheese. Not the end of the world but disappointing. Bottom line, the food is great but you might get more value managing the wine yourself. Enjoy!Bonjour,We are glad that you enjoyed the food, wine selection and the global experience at Laurie Raphaël.We sincerely thank you for your helpful feedback regarding the wine service, we will go over your comments with our team.Regards,Laurie Raphaëlâs team

We loved this restaurant, from the super friendly and helpful servers and host, to the varied and interesting food options that were being served. We had a member of our party allergic to shellfish and poulty, and another who is vegan, and the restaurant was very solicitous helping us get food that met our needs. The onion and pea soup was a particular favorite, as as the salmon, the pork flank, and the shepherdâs pie. This is a second visit for some of us, and we highly recommend it for its combination of traditional and very modern, healthy food. Thank you so much! The fact that you simply took the time to write a review for us is much appreciated. We are always ready to go the extra mile in order to accomodate each and everyone of our customers so that they can enjoy their experience as much as everyone else. We would do so for your friends for all of your visits, so whenever you are in the area again, do not hesitate to come visit us!

We were looking for something special - and that we found. Choose meat or vegi menu. 5 courses. Add some additional dishes if hungry (the chanterelles were definitely worth it). Also added the matching wines. Sitting in the kitchen, watching the three guys performing art. And having each dish explained. Would love to take a cooking course one day if they had it. Local creative organic ingredients. This is kitchen art at its best and they are at star level no doubtThanks guys

Enter Ophelia and discover the contrast between land and sea. A unique decor, an atmosphere, a service and a culinary experience featuring distinct flavors that you will remember forever.
We went to Quebec city for a four day weekend. The front desk manager of our hotel recommended Ophelia for seafood. We shared a grilled cauliflower entree with some Charlevoix cheese in it. It was ok nothing spectacular. The cauliflower could have been better grilled. I had the mussels and fries. The mussels were absolutely delish but I had many that were not opened. The broth was delish with baguette. Hubby had the snow crab which was good. My fries were not to my liking because they were tossed in truffle salt or oil and I do not care for truffles. Otherewise they were nicely done fries. We shared a cheese cake for desert. The wine was organic and delish. I would not return to this restaurant on a return visit to Quebec City.Hi! We are glad that you enjoyed your food! We will have a whole new menu for the autumn-winter season! You should try it when you are back in the city, maybe our new flavors will be more to your taste!Sincerly,Ophelia's team
