Wonderful fillet steak for our entire table of six. All cooked to different likings just perfectly. Cracking sides of veg, broccoli, mushrooms, potatoes etc. Nice sangria bowl, ice cold SuperBock all rounded off with some excellent and friendly service. We ate here with friends on holiday as it was close to the hotel, friendly staff and a good menu but canât say we was overly impressed or blown away with the food other than the portion sizes were more than generous. My dish was a salmon in a champagne sauce... which was the same as a packet of Hollandaise sauce to me, my wifeâs swordfish was good, our friends Portuguese tuna steak and pork dish were average at best. Maybe some dishes are better than others? With so many restaurants in vilamoura offering the same affair itâs unlikely weâd eat here next time round.

A lady staying in our hotel recommended this place. Lovely!!! portion sizes are enormous, even my husband, who is never usually over faced by food, had to leave some. The owner was lovely and took the time to explain the menu, answer any questions and make suggestions. Would not hesitate to go back next time we are there.

We visited here for our mums 80th birthday as it was her favourite restaurant when she came to vilamoura a few years back. The new owner offers the same service and exceptional food that we were hoping for. He even took my brother in his car to arrange a cake 20 mins before we arrived due to his dessert chef being ill and unable to work.Delicious food and great service... we was not rushed and was allowed to take our time and enjoy the evening. We will definitely be returning!!Hi thanks very much for your review and welcome always and try my best to make you feel happy again and once again thanks a million

No matter how many times I go back to this bar the service and the friendliness of the owner Al, sets it apart from any other. Situated just off the marina in a small quadrant with 6 restaurants ranging from Italian, Portuguese, Thai, Indian and Tapas.

We went there with our 3 kids and had very nice diner! Very nice and welcoming staff, in a "chic" atmosphere inside the veranda (terrace also available). Classic food but of very good quality with large portions at very reasonnable price: kids menus are very well served (chicken schnitzel absolutely delicious!), my husband took the tuna and I had the seabass, which were both very good. I recommend also the deserts: very large slice of apple pie served with ice cream, creme caramel is delicious! We strongly recommend and will come back soon!

Just had dinner here. Arrived as it opened at 6.30 and first to get a table. 20 mins later it was half full. We has sea bass and sea bream, filleted at the table. Bliss!. Staff were delightful although rushed off their feet. When we left there was a queue at the door. One couple came in with a small child. The waitress observed that they were just a couple last year and nice to see them back. Well worth a visit but get there early to avoid the queue.

On a golf holiday with 20 of us. Ate here twice and loved it. The free nibbles were superb. Prawns starters and curried prawns main course were excellent as was the wine, service and overall atmosphere at excellent value for money. Definitely recommended.

If you like tapas with lots of culinary creativity and flavour then you have got to go to El Zaguan! The staff were so welcoming and had some excellent recommendations on what to try. Every dish was unbelievable. Our only regret is not finding this place sooner! Will be back on our next visit! Attended here on a works nights out and it did not disappoint. Absolutely beautiful restaurant and loved the outdoor terrace around the old olive tree. Staff where amazing and the serve was great. Around 100 people in our group and they where brilliant. Highly recommend.
