We booked a table at this restaurant after having read the reviews about it. We had quite a bit of adventurous journey there because we took the wrong bus, so we had to tackle a few kms on foot. We were getting a bit worried as we had to cross some railway lines as the neigbourhood did not seem appropriate for a top restaurant. However, once we sat at our table, everything was just right again. It is a very small restaurant with a few tables only but the atmosphere is quite nice. Seems to be a family business, one cook and a waitress. We are not used to Spanish dinner times, so we were the first ones there. It was not a problem, however, we were just as well served as others coming in later. By the end of the night the place got packed and service got a little bit slower but it is understandable and was not disturbing.Now to the food. They only have a set menu for all which is the creation of the chef for that day. We received a salad as a starter, then we got cod with a chorizo sauce, then pork with very delicious potatoes and a chees plate to finish with. We also tried some desserts.Everything was prepared with full of flavours but still the dishes were not overcomplicated. You also get plenty of bread to compliment your meal.We have chosen the accompanying wine selection by the glass. We especially enjoyed the red wines - we are quite big fans of tempranillo.I would recommend to try this nice little restaurant if you are not choosy in what you eat and would like to try something different.

Came across this restaurant purely by chance & we are so glad that we did. Mu Husband & I along with our daughter had a superb meal at Asador San Telmo.Fantastic perfectly cooked food, starting with sweetbreads / mollejas with lemon which were very tasty & tender, beef & spinach empanadas & the Argentinian creole sausage, all delicious.Followed by the best steaks that we had in all of our 3 weeks in Spain, plus an excellent steak kebab with a lovely side of tomato salad, what more can I say.We finished off with Limencello shots compliments of the manager.Great staff & very friendly busy atmosphere.Highly recommended"Love the unexpected" !!! The food in this place is really memorable. The lady who served us was from Sardinia and there were Sardinian influences in the food. The wine selection was great and everything at reasonable prices. Iâve been there twice now and both times itâs been excellent. Itâs all down to the personality and passion of the owner Dr Fouad, who, after a day looking after his sporting clients, runs this neighbourhood restaurant next door. Both times we left it to him to recommend the food that was fresh that day, plus some of his specials, and both times he completely delivered. I rarely eat like that but somehow you just know he will know whatâs best with just a few questions. You can see him going around every table doing the same thing. We had some really nice fresh squid, gambas al ajillo, the amazing eggs/mushroom with truffle, and one of his speciality meaty mixes which I think had partridge and a couple of other meats which was very tasty. All washed down with a couple of bottles of the very drinkable house white plus some aperitifs and coffees etc, two rounds of free digestifs and it came to 40 Euros a head. Which I felt was really good value for a place that prides itself on quality.I was also glad to see how full it was on a Thursday which suggests it is gaining its deserved great reputation. Itâs not in the touristy old part but arguably its all the better for that being a little more out of the way. I would defy anyone not to enjoy this excellent restaurant and it remains my favourite and best place Iâve eaten in Valencia.Thank you Paul for your visit again and for your nice review..It was a pleasure to see you again and I am so happy that we got 2 out of 2 in giving you a pleasant meal.take care have a nice time in Valencia and see u soon....

It was late, yet we were offered the menu with a smile.Relaxing atmosphere, lovely staff and great food. At very very good prices. The menu was â¬8 and included excellent fideoa. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back to sample other things on the menu.

We have eaten in Restaurante Barbados on 3 occasions, recommended to us by locals. It is located in a very ordinary area of Valencia away from tourist venues surrounded by basic local bar/restaurant venues (not far from Patraix metro station - or by taxi). However, on entering you can see the difference - a large refrigerated shellfish display and a live lobster tank, crisp linen tablecloths and napkins.The meal commenced with complimentary portions of lobster cream.We started with a 1/2 racion of jamon iberico (â¬10). One followed with fresh gambas a la plancha priced by the gram (â¬26 - rather pricey for just 6 medium prawns) and the other with bacalao (cod - â¬16).The service was very attentive and friendly.

The restaurant is very quaint and very relaxing sitting outside, i went with family and we all had a great time speaking with the owners (we are all italian) and were treated really well. The service was great and the food was very good. I have tried everything from pizza, pasta and the meat and it was all very good! 100% recommend will eat there again!

Sunday night after watching Valencia beat Barcelona at basketball, lots of places closed because it's Sunday. Tripadvisor and Viu came up trumps. Friendly welcome from enthusiastic young couple in a place that's only been open just over a year but is definitely worth finding.Maybe the wine list could be more extensive, maybe it's a little expensive by local standards, but the quality and care easily make up for it. Go and enjoy!

It's an amazing place with a variety of dishes from France, Marocco, Germany and USA, altough with a Spanish and Mediterranean home cooking.You shouldn't miss your pulled pork (American receipt) and your grilled squid. First of all, you can taste "tapas", like "patatas bravas" and hummus. Rices are great too.
