Nikkei Valencia

Restaurant specialized in Nikkei kitchen.

Having travelled down through France for the last week, were looking for a nice Sushi restaurant to offer some fresh, light and delicious food- Nikkei didn’t disappoint. The salmon especially was delicious- so soft and fresh. The owner was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the food and talked us through each dish. Would most definitely come again. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

We went there as group for lunch. With the tripadvisor badge on the door I expected something.... better. The place does not have any special atmosphere / ambiance / feel to it. Just a place to eat and nothing more (I would not even try a romantic meal there). My pork was good other then the edges that were much too dry (stayed in a "warmer" too long? but we were there EARLY!). Salad was... I do not think it was well thought through. The famous apple tart -- it was good (a LOT of apples) -- but clearly this was not the best apple tart I had in my life...I think that this place is over=valued by the reviewers.... But, maybe I just had a bad day?

Top restaurant with very particular and great choices. I took Iberian pork tataki, grilled octopus and goat cheese cake. All excellent. Loved it. Friendly service, not too fast which is actually good. Reasonable prices yet little above average (would say, of course).

Everything about this place was very enjoyable!!! The atmosphere is very cozy and comfortable, the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and very on top of things and the food was just delicious. We had scallops that were out of this world for an appetizer, my octopus was one of the best ones I've ever had, and I've had lots; and my husband had the beef which was pretty memorable as well. We had a great tasting pitcher of agua de Valencia and for dessert a kind of deconstructed tiramisu making it the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. Definitely a must when in Valencia.

Visited here based on all the good reviews. Although the service was great here and they had a good variety of meat options for myself I have to rate them as average as they only have one main options for vegetarians. So if you don't like cous cous then you don't have anything to eat.

Stumbled upon this place one rainy afternoon in Valencia. Menu del dia didn’t disappoint! The meal started with a salad and patatas bravas followed by traditional paella of Valencia and finished with chocolate mousse topped with honey comb icecream. Food was presented in a very appealing way with a twist on tradition. Staff were attentive, friendly and patient when communicating with english speakers. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

We had dinner in this brasilian-japenese Restaurant. I guess especially in the evening you need reservations, because it was completely full. Our waiter Fabio was really nice and gave good advices and said to every dish what is contains. We took the 7-plates tasting menue which included also a welcome Cocktail (served in a coconut) and a dessert. The dishes were great and so we coild taste of all the different types the restaurant serves. The dishes were very creative and tasted all great.Price with 35€ absolutely okay, and also the other dishes from the menue with good prices - so all in all a good alternative to typical valencian food!
