We were looking for somewhere pretty to stop after coming over the Predil Pass and then round some of the Italian Julien Alps.We did not want lunch as we were due to dine out in the evening but were looking for coffee and a cake.I spotted the turn off, and we drove in an unpromising entry from the road into a pretty pool, with two perfect white swans gliding around on fish-filled waters. It was a beautiful day, the Signora serving us showed us to a pleasant table and then showed us what we could have. We decided the pick-me-up of a tiramisu was just what we needed: it and the coffee was perfect. Friendly service with a lovely smile.Bill less expensive than we anticipated for such surroundings. Clearly popular with Italians, Germans and Austrians judging from the conversations around us.Would love to go back for a meal if staying in the area.

The burger was fantastic, especially the BBQ-sauce!The location is great, just few minutes walk from the great Boka falls. Dear guest, thank you for a nice comment about the burgers and location. Hotel Boka (Boka Wine & Snack bar) is situated between the SoÄa river and Boka waterfall. Welcome back to try other culinary delights such as risotto, tagliatele, beef tagliata or SoÄa trout. This restaurant, just outside Venzone on the main route SS13 has known a sequence of owners, since we started our holidays in this area 30 years ago. About a year or two ago, there was another change of of owner, the new owner calling the restaurant Allo Spiedo. We thought it was time to test this new venue. I must say, we were not disappointed. The outdoor seating area and free parking hadn't changed of course, but the starter, consisting of local meats and cheeses was very good, the pizza was very tasty, the service of the staff professional and the bill was reasonable. Restaurant Allo Spiedo is to be recommended. I hope the new owner will be there for a long time.
