The waiter here was great, every suggestion worked. First was the homemade multi grain bread Next the salad, sword fish and a fresh cherry tomato pasta with local red wine were very good and fresh. Capped with a chocolate based desert with espresso. Plus the waiter gave us lemoncello on the house. Great time.

Although it was busy on Mothers day for lunch, we sat outside at a quiet table and ate very good food. There is a minimum of car traffic on this street and lots of flowers around the eating area. The bread was served in a paper bag and was fresh made in their pizza oven. Because we did not finish it with our meal, the waiter came to clear it away but no way was that going to happen. Bread that good goes right into my purse to be devoured later.

Osteria al Cantun is one of a dozen or so restaurants lining the walk up to the Venaria Reale. We had low expectations- it looks like the usual tourist trap- and were very happily surprised. The greek salad (sorry, Italy) was excellent- big enough to share or for one very hungry person, and the pesto with shrimp was good. What stole the show was the bruschetta: we can only hope to have one this good again. The simplest possible ingredients: 2 slices of bread, a bunch of grape tomatoes sliced longways, some basil and olive oil. But, the toast was so freshly toasted that it was still warm. The tomatoes were very slightly warm (not cooked at all though) and perfectly ripe and fresh, dressed with just a bit of olive oil and salt. The basil was fresh leaves. We nearly licked the platter clean.Reasonably priced, slightly off-hand but acceptable service. Like many places, not much English, but you can get by.

A local advised us to go here and it was just perfect. You would think it is a tourist restaurant since it is on the main road to the Reggia, but this isnât your typical tourist restaurant. As Convivium was closed so we tried this restaurant and were mostly pleased with the choice. We chose the daily porcini menu, and were treated to fried porcini and then porcini in a pasta. The antipasto needed more dipping sauce but portions were large. The restaurant agreed to include desserts of our choice and both were excellent, especially the Bunet. Staff were young, attentive and dynamic. Wine was good. Overall, good value for money. The only disappointment was the "decoration" in the main dining room - and this is so important in a restaurant. The walls were hung with dreadful paintings - a huge, careless, distorted view of Venice - my home town to boot!! Pleased to recommend this location, nevertheless.

We had great Aperitivo (or Apericena: drinks with food) at Una Volta, which is one of the finest places in Veneria Reale to do so: incredibly original products, highly natural and very tasty dishes, served by very knowing proprietors in a stimulating and enticing environment. Congratulations!

It had been five years since I last visited Dolce Stil Novo. Since then I learned that they have a Michelin star to reward their excellent cousine. I consider it a restaurant worth a special detour to visit as Chef Russo achievs true perfection and food poetry with local ingredients. The location is magical. The service is absolutely impeccable. Perfect, knowleadgeable and firndly, something that in Michelin level restaurant is sometime. Last time I went was a business dineer, this time I was with my dear better half and the location was even more appropiate. There's really no doubt this is the best restaurant in Venaria Reale I've tested many restaurants in Venaria but there's no contest with this placeThe place is not easy to find as there's no sign outside but worth the effortOnce inside you feel really at home and be given explanations about the dishes and components Really not to miss the "filetto of Fassona" which is simply greatDesserts are great and of course wine as wellPrice is really acceptable and affordableI'll be back for sure and highly recommend it
