We were so lucky to stumble on this 150 year old family run butcher store/restaurant. Omg!! It was amazing and we absolutely loved our steak so much that we had to eat another one right after. Highly recommended!!!

This beautiful restaurant sits on a charming piazza in a perfect Italian setting. The staff is charming and excellent with kids. We ate the egg with bacon potato and truffle to start. It was delicious and nothing we would ever get at home. We then had the spaghetti with smoked butter, ginger and anchovy and the wild boar ribs. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, and the anchovy added a nice flavor and texture. The wild boar ribs were the best thing we ate. They were falling off the bone and super moist with an amazing flavor. We then had the cooked pear with cinnamon and chocolate for dessert. It was very good, but not my favorite. When we go back to Orvieto, we will surely go back! Yum!

Delicious food at IL BORGO. We had the Agnello a Scottadito and the Cighiale a Bujone as main courses. Both were very tasteful, with the Syrah wine a perfect combination.Friendly staff who explained part of the menu.And very affordable prices.

Helpful and friendly waiter who spoke decent English. We ate: Insalata Caprese, pasta with Cinghiale (wild boar) sauce, pasta with Truffle shavings. All of them were amazing: simple, string, tasty, and well-priced.

A sunday lunch totally ruined. We were four of us and found ourselves in the worst situation ever. 2 hrs seated to manage to have a pasta dish while other clients were leaving and the staff arguing and screaming! We cancelled the rest of the order and left as well, still hungry! Even worst was the fact that they didn't try to apologise or offer something, just ignoring everybody. What we managed to eat was disgusting. You simply avoid it! We simply want to forget about this experience!

Ask anyone in town where they go for the best dining experience, and the response is almost unanimous: Toscana dall'Aldina! And our party of seven all agree: great food, friendly service, a casual & comfortable atmosphere, an extensive wine list in all price ranges and all for very moderate prices! We dined at La Pineta whilst staying at the Hotel Royal a short - but very pleasant - walk away. We knew we had arrived when we saw inviting flickering lights lining the drive. The restaurant has several different areas including gazebos in the grounds (good for romantics) an outdoor dining area with views of the lake, and an airy indoor dining room which was our choice. I found my van Gogh style chair a little uncomfortable, but our hostess quickly found me a cushion. The service was excellent throughout our meal.I chose the set menu at 25 euros: 6 starters from the lake, followed by homemade pasta with seafood ragu, lake fish with mixed salad and dessert. Our non-fish eater had a magnificent salad, beautifully presented with thinly sliced apple and peach, mozarella and tomatoes. The starter with six lake fish was particularly good - it included different combinations of tastes and fish cooked in a variety of ways. Next we had pasta, and then eel, and beef in balsamic sauce with grilled vegetables. For dessert three of us had lemon sorbet and the fourth chocolate mousse.

On our last night in Orvieto we enjoyed a beautiful meal at this lovely restaurant, in the heart of Orvieto. Friendly and helpful staff, a complimentary Prosecco to start, as well as canapes, after discussion with staff we decided on wild boar stew for my man and for me Irish beef and rosemary, served with baked potatoes, an a beautiful bottle of red local wine. All beautiful!Good helpful staff, lovely atmosphere, thoroughly recommend this classy restaurant in downtown Orvieto.
