This restaurant located near the medieval fort, the ''Torre di Cerrano'' is a hidden gem because it specialises in food typical of the Abruzzo region. Food from this Italian region is not well known abroad, but is very distinctive owing to the extremely varied climate and geography of the Abruzzo area, which comprises large mountain ranges, forests and the sea, all within a 100km distance. There is also a nice slection of good value wines. Especially recommended is the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo.The family who run the restaurant are polite and accomodating and generous with their servings.

Cena a base di pizza in una afosa serata di fine estate. Pizza di alta qualità e molto digeribile, antipasti ottimi e ampia scelta di bevande. Unico neo alcuni tavoli all'aperto praticamente sulla strada dove non passano molte macchine ma lofanno ad andatura sostenuta.

A hidden jem! First of all the view from the terrace to the mountains and landscape is breathtaking, especially during sunset. The food was clearly made with high quality ingredients and all portions were of sophisticated taste and well balanced. We especially liked the truffel chitarrina and tagliata. The personnel was very friendly. The crown of the dinner was Ausoniaâs noble Montepulciano dâAbruzzo Nostradamus 2012 and espresso tiramisu.This new restaurant in the area is not to be missed! This is a classy restaurant which serves quality food. We had brilliant antipasti consisting of a variety of raw fish, cold cooked fish and hot fish. Just as good as a top Japanese restaurant. Mains were sea bass which we had done in different ways. My wife's was presented in a large pan which meant it kept cooking. I found that hers was a little over when I compared with mine. Great wine selection and coffee was outstanding.

The place was packed on a saturday night. Bruno the owner was very accommodating, as he wizzed around to keep the service and kitchen flowing amazingly. We sat with a bottle of organic local Abruzzo white on a bench overlooking Silvi Marina and the entire souther Adriatic coast and then had a superb meal, antipasti of every sort of seafood. He just kept bringing it on. No menu. All delights.

Well ashamed to tell you what happened. Despite having reserved a table, the owner when saw us at the door, refused to assign us a table because of an alleged previous (last year) offensive attitude of the customer. Nothing to add. I leave it to you!Dear Cecilia from l' Aquila, you are a very poor girl...... Non abbiamo mai messo nessuno alla porta....vi ci siete messi da soli. I would like a good option - this is above average for food but it doesn't really make it to very good overallWe had seafood dishes la Chitarrina Abruzzese fresco mare, which is a mixed shellfish pasta dish & Frittura Paranza, which is a mixed fried fish platter - you just don't know what the fish will be in advance!There is a pizza menu but it isn't given automatically, whereas the artisan beer on is.There were two people waiting tables and the volume of people seemed to be too many for them.The cover charge here is higher than most in town at 2.50⬠each. The meal of 2 mains, 2 red beers, 1 espresso & 2 covers was 37.50â¬
