This hidden gem on the Piazza Gariboldi is warm and inviting with friendly staff who speak excellent English and even when we tried to speak basic Italian were good enough to help with our pronunciation. The decor was well finished with traditional touches that made you feel that you were about to be served a good home cooked meal.As it was lunch time we skipped the starter and just went for a pasta course, mine was Pasta with Gorgonzola & Radicchio. which was first class. The wine was recommended and of course we went for a fine white Frascati recommended by the waitress which was excellent and not expensive at 20 euro a bottle. To finish I had the Tiramisu which was as light as a cloud. followed by a strong espresso to wake me up for the rest of the time walking around this gem of a town. This is a must visit restaurant and worth a trip up to this hill top town overlooking Rome. if you go around dusk and stand near the walls at the north of Frascati you will see the lights coming on all over Rome. Very atmospheric. I would recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit.

I was actually heading to a different restaurant, which turned out to be closed, when I passed Kitchen Love. Had seen it in Tripadvisor, took a look at the menu that looked great. But it also looked closed. It wasn't - it was just empty. I was welcomed inside and for more than half an hour I was the sole guest. My Italian is, ahem, pretty poor. But a menu in English was found and I ordered a starter (scormazza cheese skewers wrapped in bacon, on a citrus sauce) and main course (pork fillet wrapped in bacon - do you see a theme here?) and side order of porcini mushrooms. And a glass of local wine. It was all great! The starter was tasty and just the right size and although I thought "citrus with cheese" would be a bit weird, it worked really well. The main course was also great, and the mushrooms really wonderful. Although I was pretty full I wanted to try a dessert and went for a mille-feuille made from honey-caramel crackers filled with milk and white chocolate mousses, with a strawberry sauce. Although the mousses were a little on the heavy side, the taste was again great and the crackers were a highlight. Eventually some other diners came in and seemed to enjoy the food. I really liked it and would definitely recommend it. It was not "cheap" but, for the quality and quantity I was perfectly happy to pay 50 euros. Would go again!

This restaurant loves its seafood and it shows. Excellently prepared - lots of stuff off-menu if you ask and inventive recipes that concentrate on the fish rather than any fancy sauces. Two of shared a Turbot that had been caught that morning - heaven. A little difficult to find and quite small but it is well worth the effort. You will not be disappointed whatever you chose.

Small trattoria bit outside of the historic center of Frascati. Visited the Restaurant on a saturday Evening and found it completely full and buzzing with locals. The lovely host cleaned up the Next available table swiftly and even compensated us for a short waiting period with free prosecco. Host speaks Some English so in combination with my poor Italian we managed easily to order- and had fun doing it. Food was fresh, solid "Cucina Casalinga". Nothing fancy but cooked with passion and love for food. House white wine represented the area, simple, crisp unpretentious. Prices are moderate and represent a good value for what you get. Would go there again and recommend the place. Had vongole/ cozze combination, Shrimps (which actually Where crayfish) catalana, tuna, sea bass, peach tiramisu, Panna cotta.

I am an abitual customer. I absolutely love the pub: great quality and taste of the burgers. The room is pretty nice, all decorated by several beer bottles. It kinda gives you the mood of the restaurant. There are several burgers that you can choose, all of them of great quality. I personally recommend the cheese bacon and the calabrese. Absolutely gorgeous. The staff is extremely dedicated to their job and they make you feel at home as you walk in. The price is nice, since you are paying for an entire menu when you order.

Having booked several days in advance, we arrived at the agreed 7.30pm to a hearty welcome from the host, who was friendly and helpful throughout. When he realised we knew a little about wine, he brought us a gorgeously soft local wine, made from Sangiovese and Cesanesegrapes that reminded us of a hot summer night even in this cool, showery week. Then he brought us 5 more bottles from this region to look at and talked us through this selection that ranged from a sweet white wine to a 16% red wine. The appetiser was pumpkin velute (vellutata, a thick soup) with a touch of Gorgonzola. The primo was the truffle carbonara often mentioned in these reviews. Secondo was the buffalo steak and 2 side dishes, a mixed green salad and charcoal grilled courgette slices. The buffalo was also charcoal grilled and, although naturally a lean meat, tasted very rich and tender.Everything was both tasty and good quality and the balsamic vinegar and the olive oil were excellent quality too. Gradually, we realised we were having an enchanting experience. A smile never left our faces. The magic was somehow in the combination of the soft jazz music playing in the background, the ambiance, the wonderful host who delighted in our pleasure, the superb wine he found for us and especially in the great textures of every ingredient and the mouth-feel of every bite. We were reminded of top chef Eneko Atxaâs restaurant at One Aldwych in London.

What a wonderful little neighborhood pizza place. Nice people serving fresh and delicious slices of all kinds. Great informal place, we'd love to return. Highly recommended, simple, reasonable and just right. Nice little park and view across the via too.

Really really poor food. I cannot stress that enough. Very greasy, overly cooked in oil and expensive. I really don't agree with any of the good reviews here. Firstly, they have No menus. Just a board with no clear pricing on it. Second, when we arrived the place was quite, yet we were sat virtually in the road instead of under the shaded umbrella section but were told that area was booked, despite us finishing before anyone seated there. Thirdly, we were offered bread and water which we really didn't want, but were charged for! Come'on guys, charging for bread and water in this day and age!Fourthly, no sides. we ordered potatoes got around 3 small ones chopped up and they were swimming in grease. Fithly, all three of us ordered steak. They were the fattest greasiest steaks I'd ever seen. They too were swimming in grease. Who on earth fry's stake these days? And it was butter too. Talk about increasing calorie intake and destroying natural flavours. The bill: 3 steaks, we had no starters and no deserts. One beer and two soft drinks and the bill was over 70 euros. Don't know if the owner thought "here's some gullible British tourists to rip off (it happened a few times to us in Frascati), but my advice is stay out of this place. Much better restaurants for less in this town. And it doesn't even have a view over Rome, like the restaurants around the corner have. Poor. very poor. The worst meal by far I've ever had in Italy.121 recensioni prima della vostra sostengono esattamente l'opposto di quello che avete scritto.
