If you are in the Monte S. Elia area of Palmi you must visit this restaurant. I was there twice and both meals were fantastic and reasonably priced. The service is outstanding and friendly. On a hot night this restaurant is in an area that is very cool at night, a welcome relief. If you are in the area you must try this restaurant.

This was a recommendation of the family who owned the Villa we rented. They were absolutely right! This restaurant is made for people living there, so you will not face the typical "tourist trap features". You will find natural people instead, local guests and friendly staff - and moreover an impressing variety of freshest fish and seafood, professionally cooked, roasted, grilled or whatever makes sense and you like. Have some white wine according to the recommendation of the staff, and you will enjoy a splendid supper (with television in background and rumorous Italians around, so authentic atmosphere!!!).

Absolutely delicious food and great view. My family and I had seafood sandwiches: octopus, tuna and swordfish. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. If you are in the area you are making a mistake if you miss this restaurant.

Packed full when we stopped at Sunday lunchtime, but managed not only to find us a place but also offered to specially make us a vegan pasta dish , which was delicious with chili cooked vegetables as a second course .

My husband and I had a delicious dinner at Osteria del Vicolo last night. Dom, the owner, described what was on the menu for the evening, as it varied nightly due to what was seasonally available. He was very helpful and friendly, making suggestions regarding the local wines. We started off with an antipasti, consisting of about 8 tasty treats. I chose a local almond crusted fish and my husband had steak. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and elegantly plated.The restaurant itself was cosy, with about 8 tables on 2 levels. Plaid table cloths, arched brick ceilings and music created a delightful ambiance. What a great find!

We visited the Southern tip of Italy for my 50th birthday in April, when things werent quite in the full swing of tourism and stumbled across this magical restaurant on a cliff top with the most amazing fresh fish. Yes they had a menu but for us it was the tray of fish caught that day and the recommendations from the owners (he spoke no english and she had some english) that was real catch of the day. The 'baby squid' was like none I have ever tasted and the bream (or gold fish as we think he called it!) was superb!!! We had such an entertaining relaxed wonderful meal overlooking Sicily and Stromboli that we went back again a second time (we were staying at Capo Vaticano). They welcomed us like old friends and we were not disappointed a second time! This was simply one of the best eating experiences ever!!!! If you are a fish fan, then do not hesitate as I am sure you will not be disappointed.
