We walked half an hour (one way) to get to this restaurant so popular on TripAdvisor. However, at lunchtime it is more a cafeteria with a large buffet to choose from, fish and meat dishes, quickly served and incredibly fresh and cheap. Pity we could not return at night, I think it then becomes a really good exclusive fish place.thank you very much!

This is a really nice place if you want to eat good typi Al tuscan food. First night we had two pasta, one with wine sauce and one with herbs. Both were delicious. Kids loved it as well. Main dish was porc prepared with fruit. The kids had a burger and a pasta pomodori. Not the typi Al burger you expect but delicious meat. We drank housewine red. Good wine for a house wine. Enjoyed it. Staff was really nice and chef very welcoming person. Explained us the dishes and suggestions. We had a great evening outdoors. In the end we decided to go back the next evening to spend our last evening of the holidays. Was again a success for us with some delicious local food. Only thing we were not convinced about was the antipasti ham cuts. We definitely have eaten better hams. But apart from that we will come back if again in the region.

I had a dinner here with my friends, a group of 9, on a saturday night. Reservation is highly recommended especially if you want to seat indoor, where the are few tables.The place is nice though quite noisy and hot. Maybe outside is more comfortable when the weather is good.The service is quite professional but friendly.The wine offer is very good but they need to elevate the kitchen offer. If they want people to dine here and not stop for just a glass of wine, they need to drastically increase the portion sizes, especially for main dishes which are absolutelly too tiny.Once they fix the issue about dishes size, they'll offer a good service at the right price. Absolutelly deserving a second chance.

This is really a hidden jewel in montecatini. Well worth a short walk from the centre to dine here. The food was exceptionally good, we each had separate dishes and raved about each. The waiter couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and attentive. Great outdoor seating area with plenty of tables. Definitely recommend gatto blanco, in fact we returned here for our last night!

We had the chance to stay over the weekend at my parents vacation house and enjoyed having dinner several times at this excellent restaurant. try the mix of fried calamares with vegetables or the pizzas or penne agli scampi!book a table before as well attended by local people.

We visited on our first night after reading the reviews and it didn't disappoint! You need to try the Tomato and Bread soup...without doubt the tastiest dish of my entire holiday! Overall the service was great, food and service excellent. We tried to go back however it was closed.

I notice another reviewer said the beef tartare wasnât fresh. It certainly was fresh because it is served / created with much fanfare at the table and we thought it was one of the best steak tartare we have had. Overall, both the food and service was excellent and pretty faultless. My only criticism is the venue. The food was served in a bland and clinical setting. I understand that food is normally served outside in a garden setting but due to the extreme heat they retreated indoors to the comfort of air con. (A shame because the outdoor area is beautiful at night with subtle and atmospheric lighting.) Food is OK. Menu offers italian classics. The staff are pleasant and some of them speak English. The desserts are spectacular.They however charge for tap water so be careful and they have a cover charge for each person no matter what you order.They are also far too quick to clear tables.We ordered a beer and slushies then stood up to take a picture and turned around to find our drinks gone.Tourist restaurant with tourist prices.Good morningPerhaps you are also right. The problem is that you have the wrong place and location.You didn't come to us.Greetings

Researched this before we got to Montecatini .. the table setting, table lamps, the service were all second to none, the lady who served us had worked in Melbourne Australia & she was charming, we had 3 courses each & they were all perfection, the lady owner was so attentive & really cared that everything was right, we felt so special we wanted to go back, just ran out of time on our holiday, we will be back & this will be our first meal. Thank you so much for such a perfect. Evening.

We came here on the night when Italy was playing Germany in soccer, so there was a huge crowd of people eating and watching the little TV the restaurant had set up. We knew what to expect - slower service and a limited menu, as they were offering only a prix-fixe that night. We sat down and settled in to watch and eat. Our first courses were brought out right away. It was then that the problems started. We received wine but no cups to drink it out of. We couldn't flag down anyone who worked there for a good 15 minutes (and ended up using our water glasses for both wine and water). Engrossed in the game, it took us awhile to realize we hadn't been served our second course... for over 90 minutes from when we received our first course. No amount of asking the waitress did anything - she just said 5-10 minutes. Everyone around us (locals) received their full meals in a timely manner. We never did receive ours. After almost two hours of waiting, we left money on the table and left. We get that this was a busy night, and that local restaurants might prefer to serve local clientele, but two hours is just too long to make someone wait.
