This restaurant was recommended by our hosts when we were visiting the area, so we visited for an early evening meal (by Italian standards at least). The staff were just finishing up a wedding reception and told us the restaurant couldn't serve us for another 45 minutes to an hour, but we could have drinks in the bar/farm shop. We went ahead and did that and watched a beautiful sunset from their outdoor area. The view was magnificent! Sitting down to dinner later, we basically ordered antipasti to share (both the meat and vegetarian ones based on recommendation), pastas and main courses. We were impressed by the huge antipasti plates and wide variety of items. The explanations of all the items were offered in English and gave us tastes of Tuscany we would have never ordered on our own. The pasta came and was all prepared fresh, with HUGE portions. (This was definitely the largest portions we'd had while visiting Tuscany). Each pasta was definitely unique and had robust flavors, making you want to eat more. Our meat selections were also delicious and large portions. After all of that food, there sadly wasn't any room for desert.

If you are anywhere nearby this small family run pizzeria you will not find anything better for many miles. the wood fired oven in the main room produces authentic thin based pizza with any topping you like for onoy a few euros. Great food great service great value. unmissable

We were the first visitors to this restaurant early on a Saturday evening, but we needn't have worried. We were warmly welcomed with delicious slices of garlic pizza. We ordered pizza, salad and wine which was the perfect accompaniment to the wonderful views watching the Sun set over the Tuscan hills. We were also tempted by delicious homemade deserts. The owner was very friendly doing his best to understand our attempts at Italian! Lots of locals soon filled the place, with plenty more arriving to pick up take-aways.We couldn't believe how cheap it all was. We will definitely be back!

Our last night in Tuscany we had dinner at Da Carlo. It is clearly a favorite of the locals. It is a quaint restaurant that is actually fairly large inside. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very attentive and friendly. We had both a pasta and steak meals. Both were fantastic. The wine selection by the glass was really good and they have severval beers, some on draft. It was a very relaxing dinning experience and we throughly enjoyed the restaurant - great food and service. We would recommend.

Absolutely LOVED every meal we had here. It possessed exactly the warm and local feel we were looking for. Started our first of 3 evenings asking the main host (son of owner) to choose for us and we were NOT disappointed. The attention to detail, the attentiveness of the staff on all levels, the quality of the food was top-shelf. Had a chance to meet the owner on the 2nd evening and took a little peek into the kitchen area where he showed us the wood fired oven and how he made steaks and vegetables transform into masterpieces. Simple items like soup were about as tasty as we've ever had. Selections of wine for pairing available and if you're lucky, special vegetables from the owner's garden may show up unexpectedly. OH! Ask for the pork selection that turns out incredibly tasty due to the foraging in the local forests (truffles perhaps?) it's so amazing it doesn't even taste like pork! Great local food cooked to your liking and variation to menu if you so choose - a la carte! Seafood fruit d mare absolutely splendid. Vanessa did a splendid job making us feel so welcome. We chanced upon this charming town centre restaurant and had a really good lunch, sitting on their little outside section. The service was attentive and very amusing, and the food terrific. Pizzas were perfect, and their salads were super-fresh and generous. At the end of the meal the waiter insisted that we all had a large glass of homemade grappa! Very reasonable - about e20 a head for two courses and a beer.

We had our first Italian dinner here last night. There were so many choices of pizza. We all decided to have pizza. Delicious thin crust with any topping you could think of. Local wine was delicious and the after dinner wine was also good. Waitress was so helpful and her English was good. I recommend this restaurant.

Good home cookingThis restaurant was just what we were looking for. We had our 2 grandchildren and our son and daughter in law with us.They made us very welcome catered for our allergies and at a very reasonable price.The food was excellent and scenery just what you expect in Tuscany.
