We went there wth a group of 12 and had a reservation. The service was decent. We ordered appetizers that were not anything special. We ordered a meat and cheese platter with all meat and four pieces of cheese. The pizza was good but nothing special. The outside dining was nice.

We came as a family and we were all really impressed with all the food that we ordered. We took one fish menu, one meat menu and a pizza.The fish menu came with a large antipasti plate, with mussels, grilled calamari, acciughe marinate and more, all being extremely fresh and well cooked. The second plate was with Swordfish, gamberoni and other fresh fish.The meat menu was equally good, with generous amounts of fresh cold slices in variety and the hot main plate was with mixed grill cuts of meat and sausages, all really tasty.The pizza was also delicious and a good size.With friendly staff, the ambience is warm and homey. We definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant. You will not be disappointed!

The view and restaurant building are beautiful. Menu is impressive (although not cheap for Sicily). The starters came and were beautifully presented, although our first choice of starter (prosciutto crudo and melon) was out of stock. The mains came and my risotto was disappointing as it was advertised as including fiori di zucchini (courgette flowers) but when it arrived it simply included grated courgettes inside rather than courgette flowers. The risotto and the sauce on my husband's steak were very very salty which kind of spoiled the taste. However the children's seafood risotto was good. Service was friendly, a little slow but the waitress did a good job considering she was the only waitress covering the restaurant that evening.

We called in on the way through and eat ours in the shop, we ordered way to much but it was one of the best pizzas we have had and to top it the staff were really friendly/help full, fantastic keep up the good work thank you .

Great food and excellent staff! We had a wonderful time! The lights werenât working in the garden and so the tables were lit by candlelight (which was lovely) - the head waiter hilariously tried to light a huge candelabra for some other diners but the the wind kept blowing the candles out - he was so funny and it was hilarious to watch - really made our evening! This restaurant is definitely not one to miss! Makanan is a nice relaxed restaurant, the staff are really friendly and the food is very good value for money, half the price of the food in our resort.You can sample numerous seafood and pasta dishes but Makanan is primarily a pizza restuarant. There are literally dozens to choose from. I tried the Capricciosa which is a favourite of mine and then on our second visit the Canalotto which consists of tomato, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, anchovies, sausage, fried aubergine and blue cheese incorporated into "stuffed rims" we may know as stuffed crust. For around â¬30 my wife and I had mains, a couple of drinks and a shared dessert and left fully and happy twice during our holiday.

We followed the road signs up the hills and were very pleasantly surprised with our finding at the end. Still in semi beach wear but never the less received a warm welcome. The antipasti was delicious as a starter and all our dishes and desserts were good. I recommend the house white wine too. The pool and rooms looked very inviting but alas we only popped in for lunch.
