A pleasant local pub on the #5 bus route from the station (direction Rio).Carries several beers from local micros. Particularly good was an IPA which, unlike so many beers carrying that description, was not packed to the gills with crude American hops but had a good balance of bitterness with pale ale malt.I only had a ham on cheese sandwich but it was first rate. I had another the following night.Well worth a visit.

I like the idea! Everything was pretty simple. We were supported by staff on the whole journey of making our own pizza.Pick your base and base sauce...Once you got that you go to ingredients station and add on whatever you want in your pizza.I took some time to arrange my pizza and spread evenly.There are some extra ingredients you can add on your pizza like rocket leafs, anchovies etc.My pizza come up nice and tasty. My friends were less impressed- in our opinion the ingredients are not the best quality. The whole experience was novelty and we enjoyed it :) There is lots of space. I liked the industrial look and feel of the place :)

This was my second visit to Galloway in Padua and most likely my last. Galloway primarily focuses on spit roasted chicken dinners. Chickens are seasoned (mild or spicy) and slowly roasted over a charcoal pit. It is a knock-off chain of restaurants attempting to mimic the more successful "BeFed" reastaurants located throughout northern Italy. The restaurant is a large open space room with several loud televisions mounted from the ceiling. The place is perfect for familes with loud children who like to run around during the meal. You get a paper place mat and prepackage eating utensiles. While chicken is their "specialty," other italian dishes are available from the menu (pasta's, meat dishes, etc.). On a previous visit for lunch, they ran out of chickens and I was forced to make another selection from the menu. On this visit, I had the chicken, which personally, tasted awful due to undercooking. Chicken dinners come with a side of crisp french fries which were okay and some toasted bread. I drank the house specialty Theresianer Beer (from Trieste, Italy) which is served from the tap and was tasty, and assitst is washing down the terrible chicken.My meal was inexpensive and the service appeared to be efficient. As this is a family friendly restaurant, I suggest not bringing a date here. The only reason to eat at Galloway is the lack of other reastaurants in the area. It is located next to the Sheraton Hotel, right off the A-4 highway, in what appears to be an office building/industrial area of Padua.

I love it when TA score proves to be correct, which is definitely the case here. The place is cool and cozy, coffee's great, guys working in there are friendly and patient, speak fluent English, cakes are awesome. Definitely recommended if you want to spend an hour or so just chilling and enjoying yourself.

My husband and I had read TA reviews and really relished the thought of an amazing variety of beer. We were not disappointed the range was excellent but more importantly the service we had from the owner was outstanding he spent ages with us showing us the different beers he had. Our Italian is terrible and his English was not excellent but that did not matter. We were only going to have one drink but ended up staying for lunch which was excellent. The waitress that we had was brilliant and translated for us to the owner. I made sure that I complimented her in front of her boss because she deserved it. It is so different to other bars in the area so please go visit!!!!
