If you are strolling around these lovely hills and you are looking for a high level cuisine, high level service a charming location you can for sure stop here, Dal Contadino. Service was really excellent, as a Michelin restaurant, and the menu is rich of local recipes. We have tried "bigoli del contadino" with vegetables and sausage and it was great. Then we had a tartare served with a large choice of ingredients among which you can choose ( capers, egg, tobasco, anchovies etc). "Tagliata" was served a little bit cold but meat's quality was not in discussion. Good choice of local wines. Final bill is of course higher than a usual trattoria but value for money is ok. Book a table on the terrace overlooking vineyards because the inside is too big and more suitable for weddings etc.

We've been coming here for 10 years! We remember when Rosie and Antonio had only 2 rooms and 3 wait staff... One was their son. ALWAYS the best service, food, and atmosphere. The place has been remodeled several times but the quality of everything is still outstanding.

A lunch with family and friends was an experience we will remember well after we return to Australia. Our table on the terrace had accidentally been given to another group. In no time at all, the staff had set up a table outside, complete with high chair for our baby and created what could only be described as a fantastic dining experience. The waiter's wine knowledge was exceptional, his knowledge of the menu and ability to explain it in both Italian and English was even better. All 8 of us loved our food, the pork neck fillet (I'm pretty sure that's what it was) was amazing. I wish I knew what the marinade was so I could try to replicate it at home. Well worth a visit here. In behalf of all the people of the staff, I want to thank you for this amazing review!You words warm our heart and make us proud of our work.We hope to see you soon in our restaurant!

We spent one evening at tarattoria Da Sgussa.Trattoria Da Sgussa, smal and cosy place, local cuisine, 5 minutes away from our agriturismo Le Volpi and actually Mattia recommended it. It was a typical local food. We loved the dishes, attentive service and nice outdoor sitting.If you stay around, I can recommend this restaurant.

A friend held her birthday here with 14 of us. We enjoyed some fabulous food in lovely surroundings. Super local wine list too. There is a very talented lady chef who we applauded as we left.

We were looking for a classical trattoria near Arqua Petrarca & found Trattoria da Oci. Wonderful pasta, excellent steak & pork + killer cakes & tiramisu. Great service (in English). Inexpensive. If driving from Arqua, the road goes through some gorgeous scenery. Try the house wine.

parcheggio ampio, struttura pulita. non è per chi cerca un po' di tranquillità : tavolate con molte persone, quasi diffcile parlare (naturalmente era domenica). adatto quindi alle cerimonie. personale molto premuroso, simpatico e professionale. prezzi contenuti. peccato che la carne della grigliata fosse troppo asciutta e stopposa. per il resto (un primo di affettati, pane, contorno, dolce e vino), non male.

The upstairs dining area is very pleasant and the staff friendly and efficient but the pizza was a little disappointing after the rave reviews. Certainly the pizza base was thin, crispy and generous in size but the toppings were very average with commercial ingredients.On the plus side the house wine was very good and remarkable value.

This is one of those places you hesitate to tell strangers about because it is so good that these people will keep coming back ... often and in great numbers. Then WE will have difficulty getting a reservation! Every dish, literally, is delicious, lovingly prepared and perfect. Of course it is not surprising that the meat is superb at Tolin Macelleria but also the accompanying first coarses and vegetable dishes are all worth a special journey. Of special note are the extraordinary pasta e fagioli, the tris di carne crudi and marinated beef tongue salad. Main courses not to miss are the fegato alla veneziano (the best we've ever tasted ... even in Venice!), vitello orecchio dell'elefante, the fiorentina, the costata di manzo or vitello or maiale. The desserts are all created and made by the beautiful and very talented Laura. The selection of wines and artisanal beers is very impressive. Listen carefully to Andrea's recommendations. You are always treated with great respect and courtesy by the warm and friendly Tolin family: Andrea, Laura, their equally beautiful and charming daughter Camilla, her brother and, on busy evenings, local friends. An experience not to be missed. Always a special evening.

We found the place just by chance, after hiking in the nearby hill. We noticed:* excellent cordiality:a) they received us even if we came in a non-standard hour without reservation;b) they treated us with really nice manners.* good food: we ordered some appetizers, first courses and desserts. The quality vs. price ratio was extremely favourable.* nice environment: the place is really clean, cured and cozy.
