We booked this restaurant for Sunday lunch this afternoon.Absolutely excellent. The food the service the owner. I had the fried mushrooms which were heaven afterwards the tortelloni and a chocolate mascarpone dessert. The restaurant itself is beautiful, internal stone walls and a wonderful terrace which Was unfortunately full so we could sit out on it.As the restaurant was full to capacity we had to wait a while to be served for which the owner excused the fact more then once. The wait was well worth it. Will definite be returning to try the rest of the menu !

Went to this restaurant last night as it was suggested by a friend.Can absolutely say absolutely nothing negative, a fab experience.The restaurant is about 28km from Modena Ctr, the road up to the hills is beautiful so I would definitey suggest to leave early so as to appreciate the view.On arriving at the restaurant its difficult to park as the area is quite small but as there are three houses and the restaurant its not a problem.Its necessary to ring the bell on the door which gives this a really special feeling.We walk in and we are met by the owner a beautiful person, reserved but funny and extreamly attentive the whole evening.The food is absolutely to die for.We began with the Antipasto della casa which is a plate of various types of antipasti which are delicious A bottle of Montalcino......We then went on to the Tortelloni exceptional I was honestly to full for main courses so I had strawberries and Aceto Balsamico (a must in Modena) we then had limonecello and Nocino another must of the area, this was on the house.A fantastic evening well worth the drive and the cost of dinner was definitly within the level of the restaurantI have already booked for next Saturday evening !!!

i suppose i shouldn't really big up Antica Trattoria Cacciatori or Pompeano, as it will mean that other people around the world will discover my favorite place to be & eat.The food is out of this world, don't get me started on the Tortellini, which is handmade in the restaurant, my mouth is watering as i write.it even has it's own Facebook page, how cool is that

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and I'm so happy that we listened. A wonderful family restaurant with fresh food and excellent service. We enjoyed it so much the first night that we went back the next night too!The staff, family, is very warm and welcoming. We really felt like family dining with them. The food is hand crafted and incredibly fresh. The portion sizes were grand. We can't wait to visit again.

The mezza luna pasta is absolutely the best I have tried in all the Italian restaurants I have eaten around the world. It is exquisitely delicate. The wine selection is excellent; Ask Jean Paul for his recommendations. He is an outstanding host!

The ambience is nice (they even have a flat tv looping old black and white pics of the city and some local landmarks) and so was the service The "crostini misti" croûtons with mushrooms, speck, cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella cheese were very tastyHowever my fettuccine with local seasonal mushrooms did not cut it. The habdmade pasta was very good but the sauce was not very tasty.I also wanted to order roast beef with roasted potatoes first because both are two dishes usually underestimated while I think they can easily range from awful to great and for the roast beef while a good piece of meat is easy to find around here, the sauce in my opinion is what makes it or breaks itThe roasted potatoes were cut super small in size but very tasty while the roast beef was good meat but with no sauce at all, on a bed of lettuce (!!)I had apple crumble for dessert and that was very good

Antipasto di crostini caldi e stria con salumi, tortelloni alla crema di parmigiano e aceto balsamico e per dessert mascarpone con scaglie di cioccolato. Tutto molto buono e ben presentato. Da ritornarci ! Bravo Alex e complimenti a tutta la squadra
