We had a nice lunch of pasta alla lucana outside. The service was correct if not particularly friendly. I think that maybe they were put off that we only ordered pasta and wine but it was lunch after all. In any case, both were delicious and we certainly have no complaints.

We were recommended this seafood restaurant by the lovely owners of Il Paco Agriturismo (lovely family owned, more home stay than B&B!) Pitty was a special dining experience, the antipasto came out one after another in generous portions (5 in total), octopus the standout. Spaghetti with mussels was a little salty but pasta was al dente (we found most seafood pastas are salty since) The host Antonio is the sommelier, he's a real character & adds to the whole Pitty experience. He'll come over, 'salute' & have a glass of wine with you. His beautiful wife is the chef & her food is uncomplicated, fresh food at its best. Incredible wine selection too. If youre in Policoro this one is a MUST!

We ate here three times the service was good most of the staff helpful and attentive.the food was very good in particular the Pesci Frito misto my daughter had some veal steak which was excellent .they also did a cold antipasta of fish which was very tasty.so I do not agree with the other two reviews each time the restaurant was full so it can not be bad.I. Would recommend it to anyone

We found this restaurant via tripadvisor and have not been disappointed!The owner was super lovely and welcoming and even though we didnt speak italian, we somehow managed to order.The food was absolutely delicious! I had mussels with spaghetti and my boyfriend had crab and scampi with pasta, which was just STUNNING! The atmosphere was of a fishing village and the restaurant was full of Italians, which is a great sign that the locals love to eat there.Would definitely recommend!

This is Italian seafood at its best, basic surroundings just off the beach, plastic tables and chairs and you eat what they cook, which is fabulous. We had not booked and they managed to fit us is but it was packed: Antipasti was lovely, prawns samphire, octopus, mussels. Service was attentive and very concerned whether we liked it, we did, A LOT!!

This quaint little restaurant nestled inside a centuries old castle /monostary has ambiance and great quality food. if you want a true culinary experience outside of the standard fare this is the place to go!Angela the owner and cheif cook picks her vegatables and fresh meats daily from local farms and markets, before opening, and assures a fresh and wonderful exprerience for your taste buds! It's an unpretentious place. Although the décor includes nice photos on the walls, the rest of it is plain and modest. But the food is outstanding and the house wine is good. They speak little English there but do their best to accommodate you, even bring samples of the food items to explain the menu visually. Very friendly and hospitable service. They even presented us with a booklet on Basilicata at the end. The place was full of locals, always a good sign. Decent prices.

This is really an amazing place! The ambiance is quite and pleasant, the tables are situated on a good distance from each other (so your neighbors donât disturb you), the premises are quite modern. The food is very tasty, fresh and not fat; the plates are not too big so you donât leave restaurant overeated. And a separate word for services! The waiters are so efficient, attentive and know their job; thank you, guys, once again! Highly recommended!
