Can I start with a wow???? Well, I have to because when I saw my appetizer my husband and I were tuned as in a choir with our wows ! The dish was composed of four rolled pieces of white fish stuffed with leeks, and topped with a thin slice of tartufo. It was served in a sauce as gold as a sunset made with saffron. The flavors where revealed in such a way that I was just in a cloud! My second dish was their homemade paste with shrimp, little cubes of potatoes in a white sauce. It was really delicious. My husband ordered their homemade raviolis with a white ragu sauce, very delicate. Now I am not too keen on the boar meat because it is always made too strong. However, here the boar was really delicate and I loved it. Then dessert... Well I guess you need to go there and experience it all! I love the atmosphere ! I also loved everyone that worked there! Really wonderful people! We complimented the chef and his wife for this wonderful sensorial experience!

I must admit we came upon this place when we couldn't get into some others in the centre first. But I am so glad we did. The owner/manager was so helpful despite our lack of Italian. We had a variety of dishes none was disappointing.Home made pasta with genuine authentic Tuscan style, pappardelle with wild boar is a must!

I was there with my wife for dinner and this restaurant was a nice surprise: the location is super (inside the village), interior design is good and young. Food is really good: local food well cooked and presented. The wine list is regular with interesting choices of local wines. Service is ok and the staff lovely.Strongly recommended if you're there: it's not a formal place and the price absolutely reasonable.

My sister and I had a wonderful Sunday Lunch in a very quiet town.La Margherita appeared closed from outside but when we went inside, it was full of locals having lunch.The style was very comfortable and sincere good food. Simple, tasty & typical of the region. Just what we wanted!We had 4 courses: Antipasti: meat selection with great little crusting with artichoke/mushroom pate.Prima Piatti: Home Made Tortelloni with butter and sage - yum!Secondi Piatti: Beef steak: sliced thinly and seasoned perfectly, served on a hot plate and shared between 2 of us, with side salad-it was perfect.Contorni: shared a tiramisu - also perfect in our opinion.The complimentary aperitif was a sweet sparkling something which I wish I would have got the name of, as I loved it!We drank only water and coffee and the whole bill came to â¬51 for 2We will definitely returnâ¦the chef came out to chat for the latter part of the meal, she had limited English and we had limited Italian but gestures and smiles were sufficient and the menu spoke for itself!!

I often visit Elena and they are always nice and welcoming, despite they're always fully booked - also during Fall-Winter season!Their fish dishes are really a great experience, not to mention their pizza: I suggest to book a "pizza scomposta" also to share as an entry, in which Paolo performs to his top through great matches of the best flours and best ingredients on top of your pizza.

We ordered five pizzas and one green salad. Pizzas were fine, nothing exceptional and the green salad that arrived was a bowl of iceberg lettuce, no trimmings and no dressing! The waiters were clearly too rushed off their feet to even smile. The basic cost was fine but no points for atmosphere, some nice italian music would have helped .

A really nice restaurant located in the middle of the city but still away from the tourist traps. Dining on the restaurant's balcony is really cozy with a fantastic view over this medieval city. A must try.The food was also very nice with good selection of local Italian dishes and a good variety of wines. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place, kind, friendly service, and delicious local food. Fantastic truffle tagliere and main courses, and good wine. All this for 25 euros, including a yummy buffalo ricotta dessert. Thank you Goccetto!

beautiful location in an agricultural land above the Gulf of Baratti with breathtaking views and olive trees and vines in nice presence. nice restaurant in marine style and rustic at the same time (without tablecloth in full post service). very kind and professional service. the menu of meat and fish reduced but with seasonal products and good quality. our dishes were good but the egg very bland (I ate the same dishes in many high-end restaurants). even desserts are good and well presented ... in general an nice evening in good atmosphere ... Tuscany rural and sea style and delicious food !
