Celebrated wedding anniversary dinner here. Location wonderful with breathtaking view of the ocean and sunset. Restaurant itself comprised of several floors, each with different purpose - a lounge/bar area for aperitifs, indoor dining room/disco area, and an outdoor dining area. Trendy Italian styling/interior. Menu consisted mostly of seafood. Good food and even better service. Complimentary limoncello to end our meal a very nice touch. The location/interior, view and service would be the primary reasons for eating here again, which we would.

Great Mediterranean view served up with great mussels in light tomato broth, excellent calamari & very good risotto - all reasonably priced. No one was disappointed & would definitely return if our travels took us in that direction to try different items on the menu but then again maybe the same ---hmmm!

The location if this seafood restaurant is perfect. The sunset on the beach is to die for. You will be sitting literally 6-10m from the shore. The service is impeccable. The wine list is huge and chosen with taste. The food is simply perfect. The seafood is fresh, cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious!La Barcaccina is the perfect place for a memorable dinner out with family or the ultimate romantic dinner in couple!

Cozy location almost on the cliff with the amassing sea view for the lucky ones who made reservation weeks in advance during the high season. Quality seafood and fish menu. All is great.

This was truly terrible. It is such a great location and we were so disappointed as unfortunately that is all it is. The female waitress was so rude in a non verbal way. She threw our food at us and one main came 20 mins after the rest!! The dirty cutlery had dried food on it and we just got a rude stare and no apology when we asked for another set. There was only one other table there when we arrived so they don't even have the excuse of being busy!! The male waiter was more pleasant. The food was ok tho nothing to rave about but then again the service made everything taste sour. My mussels were stone cold. We had to ask for some bread more than once. We escaped as quickly as we could not really wanting to pay but not having a material reason not to. Maybe they had their poorest staff all in on 11 July 2017 evening? Or maybe they don't like Scottish tourists. Who knows. Sorry but Walk on by it's not worth a visit. Really really poor experience and totally spoilt our evening.

Had a lovely meal here early Sept on a trip to Castiglioncello. Lovely fresh food, delicious and great service. No menu or prices but the waiter had very good English and he told us about all the different dishes and prices, would definitely eat here again. Very friendly service, and no cover charge!

I can never get tired of eating at La Lucciola. It really is part of my holiday in Castiglioncello every summer. They prepare delicious food in a simple way. The food is consistently high quality. The staff is friendly. Donât expect to go cheap! thatâs the price you pay if you look for quality

We visited this wonderful restaurant in August 2014. Its was family dinner and everyone from big to small was satisfied. Its a classy place with tasty and inventive cuisine, beautifully decorated and served dishes. In comparison with standard tourist places around its the absolute win. Charming owner Susanne helped us out with the choice and cared about us, like about every table very attentively all evening long. This place is highly recommended to visit once you are around. But please be sure you reserve a table, it was full.

In a nice tiny touristic port close to Livorno you taste an elegant fish meal prepared by chef Roberto De Franco. The restaurant is perfectly designed to please you and the food i perfectly prepared to drive you crazy. Fresh fish, ginger, pink grapefruit, paccheri and all he founds at the fresh market get in your dish in a mix of delicate flavor. It deserve a trip, 30 minutes driving from Livorno or Bolgheri.
