From the moment your turn the corner and see Locanda Del Levante you know itâs going to be a beautiful experience. The interior is as lovely as the exterior. Service was good - staff were very accommodating to dietary requirements (in particular vegan options). All food was good however, while the dips were a lovely starter, they were quite over priced. I would recommend Locanda Del Levante for an architecturally inspiring dinner. Prices of the dishes are due to the high quality of ingredients that we use at Locanda del Levante, all fresh and cooked at the moment!

Unexpected tour in the hill of Italy, found randomly in internet, offers s different kind of visit, personalized inside family business. They took the opportunity of mixed B&B, cousine based on owner skills and local products (including oil from its own production), daily nearby cites and places visits with transportation provided. I went to Otranto, Gallipoli, Lecce, Ostuni, Alberobello, Santa Maria De Leuca and a visit to pasta factory, chocolate store, wine testing, etc⦠Have interaction with Emilio and Clara (Husband and Wife), Emilios father, Pongo the dog⦠awesome week. As said a different plan (calmed) but very intense to know all Salento main spots. Also got help from Carlo an experienced guide for some visits⦠Ah, they manage Italian, Spanish and English. I got provided with mountainbikeâ¦

after a turn around a medieval hamlet,we found this nice restaurant situated in a lovely garden with orange tree,the location was wonderful and food too,we started with a very reach appetizer,faboulus the cream bean with chicory,after a delicious bass in salento style and finished with tasty tiramisù homemade,the price is so low for the quality;a special thanks to the waiter with blue eyes for his kindness and hospitality(compliments for your english),highly suggested

Food was perfect, The first restaurant in Italy where the service is actually good. The main waiters spoke English and translated the menu to English which was very nice. The servers were kind. Overall I would say in terms of service this is one of the best places in Salento.The food, especially antipasto for 2 was amazing.

This authentic trattoria is located in the historic center of Specchia. The unique place is the beautifully renovated warehouse of an old oil mill. It has an ample covered terrace and eating area with a great view on the valley below. Parking space nearby.The restaurant offers a variety of delicious and freshly cooked home food, all at its best.Traditional Salentine cuisine, from beans and chicory to ciciri and tria (pasta and chickpeas), and sagne torte (pasta). Much of the cuisine is based on peasant food, as a result it's simple but outstanding, made with basic, common ingredients.We had Antipasto casa terra, Sagne torte, Quadroni di cernia fume, all was delicious.Good house wines.Excellent service, relaxed atmosphere.Reasonable prices, good value.

Really nice and unexpected discovery in Specchia. The restaurant has a beautiful terrace in a charming garden, welcome drinks were on the house and the service super friendly and multilingual (German, English, Italian). The large choice of antipasti was very tasty - exactly what we needed. We would definitely go there again :). Für unsere deutschen Landesgenossen: Dieses Restaurant ist absolut zu empfehlen. Die nette Besitzerin hat viele Jahre in Deutschland gelebt !!! :)

During our holidays we had dinner here twice, because we loved it so much .The Risorante La Ficarigna is located on a side street just outside of the historic center of Specchia, with parking space by the side of the road.The restaurant is large, the decor is kitsch. There is outside seating but we preferred to sit inside as there were some mosquitoes. They serve South Italian food at its best. All dishes cooked in the most special and uncomplicated way you can possibly imagine, simple but outstanding. It was perfection based on local produce cooked with passion and skill.We didn't have the pasta flambe but saw how they prepared it next table. We had sauteed cozze, the tomino, orecchiette, pasta Pescatora and the Fanatasia. My favourite was the Salentina, delicious maccheroni with yellow tomato sauce and Burrata... heavenly! Service was very friendly and attentive.Highly recommended!

This family run place is above expectations in all aspects. The details are authentic and talking quality, let it be about the outstanding food made by chef Mauro, the attentive service or the decoration dressed by the owner's wife. Worth to visit if you are in Puglia!

Waiter unfriendly. We waited 20 minutes to have the menu in english. When he came, we wanted to orderer only the wine and the starters to have More time to choose the main course. He said « in Italy, you order all the plates at the same time »...2 hours 1/2 for 2 plates.1/2 hour for the bill.Food good but not exceptionnal
