Find out what Steakhouse restaurants to try in Jaca. Jaca (in Aragonese: Chaca or Xaca) is a city of northeastern Spain in the province of Huesca, located near the Pyrenees and the border with France. Jaca is an ancient fort on the Aragón River, situated at the crossing of two great early medieval routes, one from Pau to Zaragoza. Jaca was the city out of which the County and Kingdom of Aragon developed. It was the capital of Aragon until 1097 and also the capital of Jacetania.

Their fixed price day menu offers best value. We missed out on sitting outside as the last table was taken just moments before, inside is fine. Probably the best of the number of restaurants close to the citadel in our experience which have a fixed lunch menu. They cook the grilled meats on an open fire. Sometimes the meat can be a bit average in quality but the day menu (with lots of choices) is only 13 euros which includes 3 courses and wine/water. Last time they had new menus in french and english which we found helpful as certain dishes were previously a bit of a guess. The asturian bean soup is very good. Usually popular with business men and tourists at lunchtime. Closed Tuesdays (I think)

They are improving, better and better, new courses like potatoes stuffed with diferent products, chiken, chorizo, morcilla, cow, etc. The artichoques in hot coals. All kind of meats and good domestic bread completes one of the best in Jaca.

We found this restaurant's prices quite elevated compared to what other restaurants in Jaca were offering (â¬10 for a plate of ham when some other restaurants were offering a 3 course meal + wine + bread for that!); in addition our (red) wine was served not just chilled but almost freezing and the bread was not so fresh. We did not try the full menu however, only a little ham and cheese and wine, so I cannot rule out that the main menu might be more worth the price - I may not know what I missed!

Tu nuevo bar en Jaca. Disfruta de nuestra gran variedad de tapas o de nuestra fantástica carne a la brasa, con una buena cerveza Alhambra.
Newer bar/restaurant in Jaca & we liked it so much that we returned several times. The owners / servers are friendly and accommodating. The tapas were above the usual. There are many excellent restrobars in Jaca & we rate Bar-Asador Candanchu among the best. Recommended.

Great food, great ambiance, delicious mountain kind of food. Very impressed by the Chuleton de vaca rubia, some sort of blond cow steak. Home made desserts are to die for. We will be back...too bad is too far from Miami.
