Architecturally interesting place. Has the rustic feel of a converted barn with lots of wood and stone - although lighting could be improved as we all needed flashlights to read the menu.Extensive menu features pizzas (too many to count), wings, burgers and more. Portions are substantial (be prepared to take home leftovers). Service was efficient and professional. Prices are reasonable.

I visited the restaurant with mum and some dear friends.The restaurant is located inside Grano de Oro's Hotel.The atmosphere of this place is exquisite and absolutely unique in San Jose because the architecture of this hotel, despite is a recent work (modern) evokes the beautiful charm of Victorian architecture. There's a refined work of interior architecture and details which well worth a visit and which will make you feel you into another era.But not just the atmosphere counts, food is wonderful, tasty, refined and prepared with love and care.In the menu you can choose a wide variety of delicious dishes made with local ingredients and french cooking techniques, as well.I strongly encourage people to visit the place. I visited Tacotitlan after arriving from a trip to Mexico. This is as close as you get in Heredia to the real deal. They have "carnitas", "cochinita" and other treats only available in Mexico, so make sure you try anything at this place. It all tastes great.

Very good food, great flavor and good kocation. On my opinion it is a little too exoensive, forcing me to buy one of the cheapest plates on the restaurant. The service was normal, not a big experience and the food took too long to get to our table. Recommended anyways

Positives: Fantastic, creative, colorful asian fusion food! Love the Thai Tom Yum soup with shrimp and Vietnamese shrimp and rice dish. Great ambiance music at good level for talking. Good decor, lighting and variety of food and drink. Negatives: The white sangria was good but was filled with ice that completely watered down the drink. I would recommend serving it cold with no ice. As the customer drinks it, bring over a little bowl of ice the customer can add as needed. The staff is nice but forgetful and not good at taking the initiative. For example: they forgot about the water, never checked to see how our food was or to ask if we wanted dessert or another round a drinks. Starting at 10:30pm when the place cleared out, they seemed more interested in cleaning than attending to the customers since the rush was over. The staff brought over the cheesecake dessert without utensils or a candle despite I mentioned it was her birthday "La Cumpleañera" a few times that night. It would have been a nice gesture for them to bring over a complimentary dessert with a candle since we were there enjoying ourselves. I had to flag down the waitress to ask if they had any desserts and then when she brought it over ask her if they had a candle. Those are the little detailed that they could work on but, I'll definitely be back because of the food, ambiance and music.

Among the best restaurants in San Rafael, Matices personnel is always welcoming. Wether you want to have a full meal or order the "bocas" aka tapas, you will find most of the menu is delicious. Price -quality relation and portion size is better than most restaurants in CR. very recommended for casual lunch or dinner.

During our group's eight day stay in San Jose, this was by far our favorite. We all tried new things our of our comfort range and I especially loved the Cas water!.The food portions were big and the service was impeccable. There are several locations throughout the city but no matter what your plans are, make this one of your stops!

We visited this restaurant with a small group tour. It is a place patronized by locals, so you will not see many tourists there. The food was fairly typical Costa Rican fare, but very well prepared and presented. The service was excellent.
