Visited here for lunch after spending the morning at a pretty secluded beach about 10 miles away. We purposefully avoided the restaurants facing the beach. Found this little gem quite by accident. This little spot is a throwback to the old Costa Rica. It feels like a modern soda, cute, quaint and comfy. The food is packed with fresh ingredients and flavor. My wife commented that her fish tacos were the most "Californian" style fish tacos she's had outside of California lol. The menu has items we all know, but made with a local flair...and it's fantastic. The owner is there working in the kitchen, which to us, makes all the difference...hands on quality. Definitely a must visit, if not more than once. It's a taste of Costa Rica...in Costa Rica.

The food is fantastic! Had the gallo pinto, the typical Costa Rican meal and it was perfect! The homemade bread is fantastic, daughter asked if we could buy a whole loaf. The avocado toast, best we have ever had. And the lemonade, wow!!! Everything was wonderful and we are so glad we found this place! We’ve been to Tamarindo many times but just discovered this gem of a cafe (it’s on the second floor of a building set back a bit from Calle Central). A variety of tasty breakfasts and lunches (the homemade banana bread French toast is to die for), refreshing smoothies, and a cheery decor with indoor and shaded outdoor seating make it a lovely spot for breakfast/lunch. The barrista is superb and makes the most delicious almond milk cappuccinos I’ve ever had (soooo much better than Starbucks). I love this place!!

A wonderful little cafe near Penca Beach. Perfect spot for morning coffee, breakfast and light lunches! Smoothies are wonderful. They now even nice ice cream! Wonderful outside seating with small area inside as well. Owner and her staff are lovely. It was also fun meeting Emma’s beautiful baby (and of course Nana the doggie! Can’t wait to come back!

We discovered this shop last night, went again today, and plan to return tonight! Amazing soft creamy flavorful gelato made right there. If you've ever enjoyed gelato in Italy, you will know this Italian run shop it authentic. I'm obsessed with the yogurt flavor but they are all amazing. You can't go wrong!

The food was so fresh. Farm to table, sea to table. Just delicious. We enjoyed three different salads and three different entrees. All were great. We had chicken, fish of the day and Shrimp.
