Norma's sister dropped Norma and I here a Valentine's day dinner. We were directed to a shaded table next to the sports field which was playing lively music for a unseen audience making the atmosphere very pleasant. The structure and finish of the restaurant reflects the use of local limited materials where building codes do not exist. It is nicely decorated. The restaurant is comfortable, clean and fresh and offers clean functional restrooms and free Wi-Fi. We ordered drinks and meals from the illustrated menu and thoroughly enjoyed both. We understand the owner due to a health issue has the restaurant for sale. So if you're contemplating a move to Costa Rico here is an option.

went to La Bahia twice in December 2009. I can't remember the owners name but she's Italian and very nice.Had pizza both nights, tasty!! Restuarant is open air with a high ceiling near a bay.Great place for dinner or special event (birthday/wedding etc). San Juanillo is a beautiful little town and Bahia is one of the reasons I find it so special!

After a morning at the beach on a hot December day we stopped by for a delicioso juice, made fresh by welcoming and hospitable hosts. Surrounded by a beautiful garden of greenery, perfect break from the sun to chill.

Just arriving here, our host recommended to dine there. We were quite happy with the advice and had an excellent dinner washed down with huge Margaritas done their way. The pizza was perfect and quite large. I had the chicken Casado and it was about the best Casado Iâve eaten here ( but the chicken was a bit dry, I might add) . Not crowded when we were there so the service was fine. Menu quite complete and atmosphere pleasant. Chairs somewhat u comfortable though.One should make a stop here at least once in the area. Weâll be returning for sure.

Although we weren't impresed with the grounds when entering the restaurant, we had one of the best dining experiences in all Guanacaste. From a welcoming service and intriguin dish options to perfectly execute meals and a fantastic experience. We will return soon!
