Ate a waffle and had a mango smoothie here yesterday. Nestled in a small side walkway leading to Tamarindo beach the Waffle Monkey is a great option if you want a morning breakfast to go and then walk a few short steps to the beach to eat. A few tables outside great view and tasty waffles. My son had the cheese and ham waffle while I had the mango smoothie. Had s friendly iguana stop by our table too. Nice folks run the Waffle Monkey. Trust me, being a foodie from Los Angeles has afforded me the opportunity to enjoy many great eats from around the world. Although, I have not traveled to Italy, I imagine that Enea's is a part of Italy that has miraculously transported itself to Tamarindo, Costa Rica. This hidden gem is off of the main strip and wonderfully so. You get to enjoy some of the best homemade food in the seclusion of a private, quiet, and quaint tropical setting... not to mention, great service! I can't say enough about this place. We were so impressed by this restaurant. Authentic, delicious, and fresh Italian dishes that embrace the amazing local seafood. Service was amazing, they were so accomadating and gracious. The butternut squash gnocchi was the best Iâve ever had. Whenever I come back to Costa Rica this is the first place I am going!
