Find out what Grill restaurants to try in Girona. One of the most historic sites in Spain, Girona lies in northeast Catalonia, just 99 km (62 mi) from Barcelona. Founded by Romans, the city later was taken over by Moors and Franks before finally falling under the rule of Barcelona. Influenced by different cultures and religions, the city beckons visitors with beautiful architecture. The Old and New Town offer many opportunities to pleasurably get lost and observe local life and culture.

This is a restaurant on the main road (Carretera de Barcelona). As such, you will think it is just another lunch place with nothing great to offer. However, once inside, you can see two thinks: First, the restaurant is full of working executives (at least on weekdays); and second, everybody is enjoying their food.Part of the group choose the daily menu (excellent), and another one went with dished a la cart. Any way, the food is excellent and the service great.I greatly recommend to make a reservation in advance if you do not want to wait a long time.

I came to Girona for only one night while traveling alone, and was focused on getting Calçots while there. My accommodation host suggested L'Argada to me. I started with some wine, ordering what I thought was a glass of red for 9 Eur. which turned out to be the whole bottle! Good start. I had my Calçots with Romesco, absolutely delicious and plentiful. I added a local sausage and some small bites and all in all it was perfect for the evening. It's a homestyle place, friendly and casual but obviously experienced and good at what they do. If I were in Girona longer it would have been my go-to for good regional meals.

Went here because it was one of the few places open on Sunday night and our BnB owner told us it was like having dinner made by your grand mother. Thatâs only true if your grandmother was a bad cook - mine wasnât (RIP Grams). Food was solidly mediocre and this place is clearly coasting on location and reputation. On the plus side, it was open on Sunday night (I know, I already said that), the servers were nice, and it wasnât too expensive. Overall though, Iâd skip it.

As it was a Thursday night it was quiet but the staff who didnât speak any English couldnât have been more helpful. We had the the baked vegetables with goats cheese, followed by Paella . For dessert we had the homemade apple cake and a baked custard. All were excellent. We took advantage of the 50% discount through booking via the Fork and with two beers and a glass of wine the bill was only â¬46.90. Tremendous value.Thank u so much for your comments. We feel so bad not to speak English but we supply it with our human being and local charming. It's great that you enjoyed so much our dishes. We hope to see you again. Wide open doors for our friends!
