Things to do in Monserrato

The meal started out very well as we were one of the first reservations of the evening. Did the mixed antipasta for 2 which was very lovely - enjoyed all the offerings. As we sat there we could see other tables waiting for service and a table that walked out. My husband had the pasta with lobster which was a challenge to eat since it was in pieces still in shell covered with red sauce. Quite messy for sure. Very little interaction with the servers once the place got busy - long wait for dessert and then check. Definitely need to expand beyond the family with more help.

Two minutes far from the airport of Elmas, Lord Nelson is a family Restaurant in wich you can taste delicious food and drink special wines in a very warm environment...
We booked a table for Friday evening, 12th Oct at 8.30pm. This was confirmed, and a reminder was sent to us on the day. We didnât have a hire car, so walked the 2 miles to The Lord Nelson, looking forward to our meal, and a nice evening out. We arrived 10 minutes early to find the place in darkness, so strolled about and returned at 8.30pm. No sign of life. It began to rain. Heavily. We rang the bell - nothing. The place was in darkness, and a neighbour confirmed our fears - it was closed. So, question is - why did the online booking (âForkâ - operated by Tripadvisor) accept and confirm our reservation when the place was obviously closed down?? We then had a 2 mile walk back into town, (still raining), to try and find somewhere else to eat. To say we were disappointed is an understatement, we were fuming. What a waste of a whole evening of our 4 night stay in Cagliari.Dear Susan, we are sorry for that but is not our fault! The fork is slow and the day before you came we tryed to send the communication of our extraordinary day off but âthe forkâ stayed open and continued to receive bookings with no chance to communicate with the customers cause we were in hospital for our father breast surgery! We are really so sorry! If you understand please.. apologize!

Visiting from th UK on our honeymoon we were made to feel very welcome. The food tasted amazing, with the best lobster linguine! Some great authentic Sardinian dishes and plenty of variety on the menu. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're visiting Cagliari

Small and pleasant restaurant with very good food.Close to our hotel we found this small restaurant wich we visited several times during the week. The service was always nice with a minor language barrier wich never presented any problem. Fish and meat was equaly excelent and the prices reasonable. Worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood.

We were very well taken care of by our server who made a very big effort to answer our many questions about the menu and speak to us in English (we wish we spoke better Italian). Our food was excellent -- seafood salad, local white fish salad, fettuccine with mussels, mixed seafood grill, and beef steak. We really enjoyed everything along with a great bottle of wine that was recommended. We were unfortunately too full to be able to finish our main dishes or have dessert. Some reviews complained that the prices were expensive, but we do not agree. While it is not cheap, the prices were entirely reasonable for the quality of the food and service provided. Our server was even kind enough to call us a taxi and talk to the driver to make sure we'd be taken to the right place. You will need to take a taxi there as it is just outside of Cagliari but not far. Would highly recommend!

KOKO The Sushi Revolution offers a new way of japanese cooking based on fresh and high quality ingredients, with original combinations of flavours. Try also our best wines of the island and the distillery from all over the world. Our mission is to let our
A good attempt at recreating some of the more traditional decor & ambience of a Westernised Japanese restaurant with a good potential volume of customers being catered for which retracts from the usual intimacy of a sushi restaurant. A warm welcome by a very accomplished owner, possibly Korean? A very good standard of English was spoken & he was able to answer all of my questions, something that was required as the menu was only available in Italian. Thankfully, I already knew what I wanted, Miso soup, mixed Nigiri, 4 Salmon Nigiri & Takoyaki. The food was exactly as I had expected, although Iâm still not sure what the white fish Nigiri was as the helpful host only knew its Italian name. The sushi was well formed, ever so slightly smaller than in Japan & with no wasabi added during the prep. The Takoyaki was also smaller but very close to that which Iâve eaten in Osaka; I would add that the browning bed of lettuce it sat upon was a little disappointing & totally unnecessary.I must say, from the way people kept sneaking a peak at me, I may have been the first Englishman they had seen in a while. As virtually all of Cagliari is closed on a Sunday Iâm glad I came across KoKo on TA. Its proximity to my hotel was a real advantage & Iâm glad I bravely chose to takeaway my food, which sounds a little silly when read, but have you driven in Cagliari at night in a rental car on the, âwrongâ, side of the road recently? My only true gripe with the whole meal was the fact I was only given one satchet of wasabi.
