We went to this place without any expectations. We couldnât find it at Tripadvisor. The alternative was the steakhouse across the street, but we read different reviews about it. We gave it a shot and ordered the mixed grill for two. We really liked it! We would recommend this place to everyone! We even went back there a second time. It may not look fancy, but the food is great and the owner is really kind!

The service here was great and they brought chips before the meal and rice pudding after lunch the first day. The always brought out the kids dinners ahead of ours, which was great! That's something we noticed here was the thoughtfulness. The strawberry daiquiris were great. They have the cutest dogs here too. They also have a kids play area and horses the kids can see. And they have WiFi. We've found having the Internet handy had been nice to help us communicate in Spanish.

Nice little stop on the side of the road, just before entering DT la Fortuna. We didn't have steak but Costa Rican chicken dish. Kids had chicken fingers-shared one order and it was plenty of food.Friendly, fast service.

Good food with many ingredients fresh from the farm out back. Our server, Jonathan, was exceptional and very friendly. Had a diverse menu for vegetarians and carnivores alike. Received complementary chips and salsa while waiting for our entrees. Large open seating. My favorite entrees were the Beef Nachos and the Tilapia with White Sauce.Hi Robin,we were thrilled to have you here , we are happy that you enjoyed our food and service.Thank you from all of us!

We went there for dinner.We both ordered meat (red for my girlfriend and medium for me) and both came overbaked. The meat was OK but not exceptional. The portion of fries with it was not really big.Service average.There are better restaurants in the city.

We visit the restaurant to celebrate my husbands birthday, the food was delicious, we eat the "parillada" and it was very good and at a good price, my son eats pizza and it was good. Driving by and saw a busy restaurant so decided to stop. Owner came out and made sure we parked in a well lit spot and then took care of us personally. Best steak I've had in a while and service was excellent!

Iâve been here a couple of times. The food is always good and priced reasonably. We like the location because it is a few minutes outside the busy and loud downtown area and has a great ambiance. What a great restaurant ! The staff were super nice and friendly. The food was amazing. Hummus and pita were very flavorful. My husband had the Mexican burger and said it was delicious. I had the chicken kabob, amazing! The kids had classic burger and chicken quesadillas and both ate all of it! Highly recommend La Parrilla for an all around great experience from the service to the atmosphere to the food. Five Stars from me!
