I go to this location regularly, when in town. The staff are SO polite, and I love how they greet each customer by name. Quality coffee, at a good price...you cannot beat that! The food offerings are also tasty!

Geisha Sushi with a Flair

Three generations of our family enjoyed fresh sushi, great salads, soup, tempura and other delicious dishes. I had grilled lobster that was perfectly prepared and so delicious and even the normal side salad and seaweed salads were great. Everyone found just what they wanted and the service was very efficient. It would be nice if they offered non-alcoholic beer, but that was a minor point.

Sammy's Grill

Reviewed By bandman - Lafayette, LA

We are from Lafayette where food is a way of life. We, like most Cajuns, enjoy eating out and visiting with our friends over a nice meal.

Yesterday was our first visit to any Sammy’s in fact I had never heard of it. Thanks to a friend of ours from Baton Rouge we chose Sammy’s for lunch.

The building is so clean and well kept that I thought it was brand new. The decor is charming. Simple, casual, yet sort of refined. Different than most places we have been. I have a thing about clean restaurants and this one is spotless.

The waitress was delightful. Always there when we needed her but never too much that she disrupted our visit. The food arrived a little cold for my taste. She took it back and had it reheated. That happens and in a clean restaurant I don’t mind my food going back into the kitchen for a spin in the microwave.

Two Crawfish Étouffées, one catfish dinner, and one country fried steak. The three ladies with me all loved their meals. As for mine, if you put country fried steak on the menu in the south you are asking for trouble. Not here, it came out perfect. On the side I had Lima beans which were amazing. I could have made a whole meal out of just the beans they were so good!

The prices are reasonable. Our soft drinks and tea were topped off and I even had one to go. I had the opportunity to visit with Mr. Poche who is one of the managers. I told him how much I enjoyed the meal and that I think Sammy’s would do well in Lafayette. I know I would be a customer!

Thanks for a great meals. This was a strong 5 out of 5 for us!

New favorite place! We were seated immediately and our server was great! She was an outstanding waitress. Very professional and friendly. I had the grilled salmon and steamed veggies it was fantastic! The house salad was a little wilted but it was tasty. They did not rush us out even though we got carried away talking after dinner ‍♀️ it was nice and had a good southern atmosphere

Frank's Restaurant

After a long day, we didn't feel like waiting at another establishment, so we ended up here. It was bad. The waiter worked his butt off though which we all appreciated. That was about the only positive. I ordered chicken, mac n cheese and some salad. The salad was okay, but the mac n cheese was horrible. It's hard to make bad mac n cheese in my book, but it was bad here. The chicken they served me was ice cold and hard as if it was day old (or two days old even) and was just taken out of the refrigerator. Yes, it was that cold! The cook didn't even bother to microwave it to try and fool me. Anyway, we won't be going back on our next visit to Baton Rogue. Not recommended at all.
