Pamela's Bayou in a Bowl

Reviewed By More4Step

The food at Pamela’s Bayou In a Bowl appears simple, but the flavors have remarkable depth. Pamela’s is known best for its NOLA flair on southern cuisine dishes and the reputation is well deserved. Some of the produces used at Pamela’s are harvested from local farmers in the Central Louisiana, and the corn bread and cake dessert are served warm crafted with real vanilla cream icing. Pamela’s offers something for the whole family tastebuds. The restaurant is both clean and tidy—despite having limited space and more customers than can fit inside at one time—and all the staff members there greeted my companion and me with smiles as warm as the southern goodiness they serve there. I would thoroughly recommend Pamela’s to anyone with a tummy needing to be filled with a lot of yumminess. I know I'll certainly be returning often!

Harlow's Do-Nut & Bakery

I have lived in Pineville for 14 years. Harlow's is a must. It is modest and unpretentious and a local tradition for decades. Due to the passing of its founder, some subtle improvements have recently been made but the core business of baked goods to go and custom made cakes remains a staple. You can also sit if you like and enjoy your coffee (now also available with flavored syrups) Harlow's is conveniently located near Louisiana College next door to Veterans Coin Laundry. Don't pass it by!

Almond croissant was delicious. All of the sweets look fantastic. Makes you want one of everything. Easy to find and easy to park. This is a very busy place. They were very friendly and service was quick. Will definitely come back and try out their lunch sandwiches next time I'm in town.

Yucatan Mexican Restaurant

My family discovered this restaurant a few months ago after moving to the Pineville area. We've been several times.

Very friendly and professional staff. They always go above and beyond the call of duty. And the food isn't bad either.

We always share the Fajitas and it's more than enough.

During a recent visit, my wife didn't bring enough baby food and after asking one of the servers for an avocado he didn't hesitate to bring us one (and he made sure that it was cleaned and sliced, we certainly didn't ask or expect that) for our baby.
THAT is Customer Service!

That's worth 10 Stars in my book!!!

Clearly a favorite hang-out downtown for people who want decent coffee - and this was definitely well-done coffee. The barista couldn't have been nicer, and the java was good - good enough to return my second morning in town. Satisfied a Seattle coffee snob.

Visited this restaurant for the second time on a Sunday afternoon. The host/hostesses were very friendly and took my order right away. Although this was only second visit (the last visit being over a year ago) I could not remember the process that was involved. One hostess, when hear this, said..."here let me explain the menu and I will walk through the line with you to select the menu items". She did help me and my to-go order was cooked and given to me very quickly. The order was delicious and I was able to eat at least three times from the order!! IMO, It's worth the price.

What a pleasant place to visit! Of course, it seems like I always end up spending more than I meant to, but Sweet Frog's pricing is certainly in line with the other yogurt places, and their yogurt and toppings is extremely good!

What will stand out to you is their very friendly staff! They always have a smile and you leave there feeling like they really appreciated your business. This is definitely the place to go for yogurt. Besides the quality of the food, and the friendliness of the staff, the location is very easy to get to, and you can either eat there, or take it with you!

This was a very relaxed evening, dining at Cajun Landing. From the deep fried rolls, crunchy and hot, to the charm of the wait staff, this was a memorable dining experience.

The Pontchartrain chicken, with a seafood mushroom sauce was so original and tender. The Catfish Blackjack embodied the authentic taste only found in Louisiana. The dessert menu was quite tempting, but the meal was filling, leaving no food morsels behind!

The casual atmosphere made our travel day attire welcome and the Mardi Gras music and decorations gave us a New Orleans feel, despite being miles away. Come with an appetite to the Cajun Landing.

I had lunch here on a Tuesday at noon and the place was empty. As the only diner the service was great. The Lebanese tea was a tad too sweet. The chicken shwerma salad was filled with chicken and had a good flavor. Vegetables were fresh and crisp.
