I thought the ice cream was no better than what I buy at the store. Pretty pricey for what I got. I got 3 waffle cones with 1 scoop each and it was $20. That's a bit much for ice cream. Service was slow. Some employees standing around while 1 person scooped ice cream. Lots of people standing in line waiting.

Although the parking lot was full, it seemed to be for large parties. A table for two quickly opened up and we were seated quickly and were able to order promptly. I and my friend ordered the shrimp bowl. And, although I have less appetite these days to due terminal cancer, I was able to eat every drop of food on my plate. Well worth the money. Quality was good.

This little small barbecue restaurant was it Extremely clean, Front counter where you pay for your barbecue was very friendly and the barbecue was outstanding. We could not believe how large the portions were for the amount you paid. Tasted really good and real smoked BBQ not liquid smoke. Highly recommended.

We visited this location after going to the Wild Animal Safari, the ice cream was good however I figured it would be considering they serve Blue Bell and I love that ice cream. Service was great, the two ladies there were very polite and professional. Ice cream was a little bit more pricey than I thought it should have been however considering how hot it was outside I didn't mind paying the extra

Came here very hungry after doing a 20 mile bike ride. The pulled pork, baked beans, cole slaw and onion rings are excellent. Just don't order the fries. They were very greasy and inedible. We thought maybe the fryer needed to be changed, but in speaking to some locals the next day we were told the fries are always like this and they just steer clear of them. Bottom line.....definitely visit the Whistling Pig for some great BBQ, but don't order the fries.

Friendly staff, enthusiastic greeting by the owner, a fine meal, in a pleasant and comfortable setting. We had scallops and rib eye steak, both meals were very good, service was outstanding. An excellent local reputation, well-earned. We look forward to returning again!

We dined at noon on Sunday and even though the restaurant was about 95% fully occupied we were seated quickly. The chicken, jalapeño cornbread, dressing, peas & green beans were very good.
The sweet potato casserole had an odd taste and they were out of banana pudding. Another thing that may sound trivial but the outside entrance really needed cleaning.

I never leave reviews. Never. After our supper at Cricket’s I feel compelled to hopefully save another soul from a $70 mishap. I gave it one star because there wasn’t a 0 star option. It took over 45 minutes to get our food in a restaurant with 3 tables of guests. My daughter’s spaghetti consisted of browned hamburger meat over noodles with some tomatoes/sauce scattered over the top. The steak we ordered medium was served rare and cold. The baked potato was served so cold that butter wouldn’t melt after spread on top. My son’s lasagna was straight out of a box, into a microwave and onto a plate. The server was friendly. That’s about all this place has going.

Tucked inside the Callaway Gardens Country Store(R), where picture windows reveal a breathtaking ridgetop view, the Country Kitchen specializes in down-home Southern dishes with a creative flair. Start your day with a heaping plate of smoked pork and eggs benedict, or enjoy a fried-chicken-and-vegetable combo for lunch or dinner - washed down, of course, with an ice-cold serving of sweet tea right out of a mason jar. Whatever you fancy, your taste buds are sure to be tickled at this Callaway Gardens institution. Meals are not served between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. as the kitchen switches the line from breakfast to lunch/dinner.
We live locally but don’t take advantage of Callaway Gardens and its’ offerings as much as we’d like. For the second time in a few months 6 of our family members agreed to meet here for breakfast. Have loved Callaway Gardens since childhood and love eating outside at the Gardens Restaurant. Hadn't been in quite a while and honestly didn't care if the food was good or not, because I love the view so much. Not to worry! The food was crazy...MoreDear Sissie J, We are so glad that you found the food as great as the view at the Gardens Restaurant! The Shrimp Pappardelle is one of my favorites, too!
