Visited on a Friday night with a group of 10 and had a fantastic experience. Felt like we were dining in someone's kitchen so cozy & comfortable with outstanding service. Whole restaurant seats less than 30 so best to make ressie if going with a group. Prices ranged from $2 tacos to $15 platters. We BYOB'd but no glassware, had to use styrofoam cups. My partner brought me here for a late birthday dinner. We ate here once at the previous location and really liked it and I wanted to see the new space. We arrived on time and were sat a nice table by the window. The decor of the restaurant is starkly different from the past location that was intimate and cozy. The new decor is more industrial and has these strange ropes hanging from the ceiling which feel out of place. Our server was friendly and brought out our drinks shortly after we ordered them, followed by our guacamole which was mediocre but very small and expensive for what you get. Once we finished our appetizer we waited a very long time for our dinner and our server seemed to vanish. After about 20 minutes our dinners appeared on the table and were ice cold as seemingly they had been sitting under the heat lamps for quite some time.We couldn't find out server and just decided to eat what was in front of us, which was a cold and tasteless quesidilla some overly spicy pasta dish that I couldn't finish because it was overpowering. We left the restaurant very disappointed and a bit upset as this is not an inexpensive restaurant and felt like we got ripped off and it was a very disappointing dinner.I should have written this review sooner, but never got around to it. We visited in March/April 2018.DFC9258 we want to apologize for your experience you had while visiting with us. We were seated in the inside dining room right away when we arrived, but nobody approached our table for at least 15 minutes, and then it was to bring only water. After another wait, we got chips and salsa and gave our order for one enchiladas camaron and one almond chicken. After about 40 minutes, we got our food. To be fair, it was very good, but by that time we had waited about an hour. On our way out, the hostess apologized for the long wait. We do not plan to return.Dera DonH.I deeply apologize for the lack of service you experienced that night at my restaurant. We went looking for Dawson’s and found this place instead. While the King and Queen aren’t much for Mexican food, we gave it a try. The food and service were very good. Dinner was topped off with a complimentary desert in honor of the Queen’s birthday (see picture).

The enchilada lunch special was wonderful and the burrito lunch special was likewise very tasty. Each of these platters was only $6.95 and well worth it! Our server was attentive and the environment and ambiance is very pleasant. Although it has been several years since I had been to La Michuoacana - the quality has remained high and if you are in the mood for a good Mexican meal, La Michuoacana is well worth a visit!
