Bala Cynwyd ( /ˈbælə ˈkɪnwʊd/ BAL-ə-KIN-wuud) is a community in Lower Merion Township which is located on the Main Line in southeastern Pennsylvania, bordering the western edge of Philadelphia at US Route 1 (City Avenue). It was originally two separate towns, Bala and Cynwyd, but is commonly treated as a single community. This came about when a single US Post Office served both towns (the "Bala Cynwyd" Branch) using ZIP code 19004. The community was long known as hyphenated Bala-Cynwyd. Bala and Cynwyd are currently served by separate stations on SEPTA's Cynwyd Line of Regional Rail.

Small place across from St. Joseph University. My server Eddie was all over it, friendly and on point. They have about 20 beers on Tap with several local and regional options, mixed drinks also available. They have a mix of pub favorites and healthy options. I had the Moroccan Salmon salad. It was very tasty and the Traveler Brewery Pumpkin Shandy beer I had was great. Other menu options were vary tempting, I had a hard time choosing. Would highly recommend and I can't wait to return and try other items.

Lots of seating options at this Brewery with views of the river. Indoor, covered open air and outdoor options. Lots of draft options, but we did not have a chance to sample them on this visit.The menu offers quite a variety - appetizers, small shares, full meals, and pizza. We had the loaded chili nachos which were excellent. Both my wife and I had the barbecue rib dinner. The ribs were good (not quite the level of Cincinnati's Montgomery Ribs), the sauce was tasty and the side potatoes were top notch - I'd call them boiled with a deep fry crust.Our server was outstanding. Prices were reasonable.

O.K, let me begin by saying that you can't go wrong with the food. The chicken wings are exceptional. The prime rib special is great. Dinner salads are always fresh and satisfying - real greens. The chicken marsala, shepherd's pie, lobster ravioli, and baked salmon are never disappointing. If you want simpler fare they have a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. I don't really indulge anymore but I know that their desserts continue to be awesome. Also they are competitive in their beer selection with the two breweries in town.The one thing that prevents a top score is the noise level. This is a small tavern and when it is crowded the sound can be very loud indeed! Most of the time we have gone has been on the weekends admittedly but it is a popular place and dinnertime all week draws a good crowd. If you're O.K. with noise and don't plan on having an intimate talk with your significant other by all means don't hesitate!

WOW! first time here. We had spent two days in downtown Philadelphia and were meeting my fiance's relatives at this restaurant, which was 20 minutes from their house. 6 of us. Honestly, this restaurant is definitely 5-stars. Incredible service and wish i could remember her name. Knew the menu so well and even took time to get a gluten free roll for one of our guests while we snacked on the other rolls.Cucumber and salmon mouse sandwich for me and I kept sneaking french fries from my fiance's plate - outstanding. The quality of the food and the great choices (rotating menus with the seasons) made me wish i could have eaten here more times!Truly a treat and such a well decorated restaurant too! Very popular place for lunch - place was very crowded for lunch!

The Greeks is a fun place to have a beer and a snack or sandwich. The wait staff is very friendly, the food is very good, and the prices are very reasonable. I have never had a full dinner there,but the bar food is excellent. Quizzo nights are fun too.

Had a very nice lunch- tacos and beers - with a business associate. Service very good and staff friendly and accommodating. Tacos were crispy chicken- three on a board. I would order again! Lunch event was spoiled by an overzealous Havertown parking nazi who wrote me a ticket in an unmarked, no meter spot. Thanks Havertown..

I reviewed McSheas previously and said it is hit or miss. Last night was a complete miss and we will probably never return. I truly hate being served lukewarm food and I believe there is no excuse for it. When my husband complained his food was cold, our server became surly. She took his plate away in a huff. The mussels I ordered were not piping hot but edible. They were also on the small side and covered in way too much marinara.Usually, on a Friday night, the place is quite busy. Last night was fairly empty - I'm thinking people are finding better places to eat.

These guys know GOOD Beer and they make it even better. It appears they got inspiration from the great farmhouse breweries in Belgium and then combined their knowledge of beer making with good old American ingenuity --- voila â they created some master brews, all balanced, but demonstrating what an imaginative and passionate bunch they are. Fuzzy Green, a Cucumber IPA or Milkshake IPA (Extra Vanilla Double) or the Ourison, a lengthy cask conditioned Saison. Everything is produced locally, on-site, in small batches, and with the freshest, high quality ingredients. The beertenders are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Parking available in their lot. I picked up several 4-packs to enjoy at home.

the perfect bar with even better burgers. Also hot dogs, tots and french fries. Excellent beer selection. Love the ambiance and the staff. Funky decor. its a popular place, so it can be a problem getting a seat during peak times. HIghly recommend. Peanut Butter and Jelly Bacon Burger for life!!!!

This is a small neighborhood place thatâs been around for several years. Nothing unique about the menu, but the food is always excellent. One of the owners is always on premises making sure everything is running smoothly. No reservations, and youâll have to wait for a table if you show up between 6:00 and 7:30 most nights. Highly recommended.
