Had a great dinner at Russellâs tonight! I have been here many times over the years and always enjoy the food. (I donât understand any of negative reviews bc I have never had a bad meal here and service is always excellent!) We started with the antipasto, which is easily the best in the area. Then I had the salmon au poivre and my boyfriend had another salmon dish with crabmeat. Both were cooked perfectly. We skipped dessert this time, but I would highly recommend those as well. Service was also prompt, kind, and excellent. I enjoy going there after 8 because you miss the dinner rush and itâs quieter. We will be back!

Wonderful food, service, ambience! Was there on a busy Saturday, staff very well organized.Started with soup, salad and asked for pasta with pomodora sauce, all perfect.My spouse had salmon, cooked to order.My first clue they knew what they were doing was when I made a reservation for 6 pm and couple of days later they called to say "can it be 6:15?" Now that is attention to detail.The art deco style is cool, not overdone.Will definitely visit again!

The food here is always very good and very reasonably priced. The sausage, peppers, and onions are among the best I've ever had! Almost everything is homemade. The family run operation provides a friendly atmosphere.If you need to have an event like a luncheon or dinner for a group (graduation, anniversary, etc) try their family owned banquet room across the street. "La Una" The same great food and reasonable prices AND they pour you a very nice glass of wine. :)

The food was very delicious , prepared and presented nicely. The waiters and staff are very cordial and welcoming. The ambiance is great because the lights are dimmed with candle on the table. Also they are very helpful with any food allergies.

The owners run this restaurant like they are cooking for a family event, everyone seems to know everyone else. The portions are huge, I didn't see anyone leave without a to go box.The food is good and the service friendly. It gave me the impression that if I were Italian this is how I would eat at home.

We continue to believe that the Sambucca Grille remains one of the best finds in the downtown Scranton area. We first visited over 4 years ago, and had the opportunity to go back again this weekend. The cavatelli salsiccia was my favorite - served with mixed peppers and sundries tomatoes. Our table also enjoyed fresh Carbonara, and the Penne alla vodka. Coffee and dessert was a nice way to end the perfect special dinner for our family. Recommended again!

Read reviews and saw the place rated "#2 in Dunmore" so gave it a go: DISAPPOINTED! Food fairly tasteless and soggy, pasta a bit overcooked, atmosphere so-so. Perhaps on Sunday night, the restaurant was staffed with junior team, but the meal was lackluster and not worth a re-visit.

Came for a retirement party. The service and food was exceptional. I had the Pan Roasted Filet of Salmon, others had select well from the variety on the menu. All were pleased. And even more so when the dessert tray was revealed. I heard many good things from the regulars at the party. I would be glad to return here when I am in the area.

My wife and I recently discovered this wonderful restaurant. Not fancy from the outside, but once you're in, its nothing but authentic italian food, and consistantly terrific service, with a pleasant atmosphere. I could list our meal choices but after 3 visits, we would rather say its all good, and very good at that. We look forward to our return.

My family and I were heading through Scranton and were looking for Italian. We came across this restaurant and the food was amazing, the portions were large. The garlicky Zeppole (garlic dough) was to die for. We will definitely eat at this place again while traveling.Jason F.. thank you so much for stopping by on your way through Scranton.
