My husband and I ate here for breakfast for the second time this morning. I wanted to give it another chance before writing a review. Here are my thoughts:ATMOSPHERE: Very rustically charming! This reminds me of mom and pop cafes you find near ski resorts in Vermont. Small in scale, but comforting and inviting. They have a wonderful outside patio for use during warmer weather.SERVICE: The service was very friendly and on the ball both times we ate here.FOOD: I got their pumpkin pancakes today and they were delicious! You almost didn't need to even put butter or syrup on it - they were that good. They also offer stuffed pumpkin pancakes, which contain a cream cheese mixture in the middle and rolled up. I didn't try them (perhaps too sweet for me), but the concept sounds good! Ok, here's what caused me to want to give them another try before writing a review: The first time we visited, I got an omlet. I order this a lot when I go out for breakfast. Well, though it was stuffed with all sorts of goodies, it had NO TASTE! It was also the color of very light yellow. I wondered if it had been made with egg whites by mistake, but was assured that wasn't the case. Today, my husband got one of their egg dishes (with everything mixed together). Though it was a little darker yellow in color, it also had NO TASTE. I've concluded that they put far too much milk in their eggs when they make them. Thus, it renders them tasteless. If I were to review the place based on the eggs, I'd give it two stars (the atmosphere and service would save it from being a one star). My husband thought his eggs tasted fine. Personally, I'd stick with the pancakes and avoid the eggs, but that's just me. Or... tell the waitress to make sure they use less milk so you can taste the egg flavor.Overall, it's worth a stop.

My wife and I first visited Chow Bistro in March of last year, you can find our review here. We returned a couple of times after that and were equally pleased. However, we had dinner there last night and we were quite disappointed. They were totally booked, and we were lucky to have made our reservation when we did. And, I agree with other reviews regarding the noise level; conversation between my wife and I was very difficult. We were seated at the table right where the staff enters and exits the kitchen, never a good spot, but someone has to get it. The service did not match up to our previous visits; our server may have been new because she seemed very unsure of what she was doing. The food, however, was the biggest disappointment. The menu has been drastically reduced from its previous wide selections. The squid skewers appetizer was seriously overcooked, as was the pistachio-crusted brie. We each selected entree's from the specials menu. My wife's caribbean mahi mahi was fine, but not remarkable. My grilled ribeye steak was disappointing; a rather thin slice that was served with a sauce that was tasty but overpowered the steak. Finally, it came time for dessert, we chose to share the bread pudding that we had on previous visits. After waiting through two cups of coffee we were served... apple cobbler. We didn't want to send it back or make a fuss, but we did mention it to the staff. Graciously, they gave us the bread pudding in a take out container, which was a nice gesture. All in all, this dinner was not at all like previous experiences, which left us to wonder, what's changed?

We had a very nice Sunday Brunch here earlier today after not having visited for more then 2 years. The buffet included pasta salad, mixed greens, soup du jour, herb roasted potatoes, two types of fish, chilled shrimp tails, challah bread French toast, quiche, freshly made Belgium waffles, donuts, sticky buns, mini cheesecakes, mini cupcakes, bacon and sausage. There are no eggs on the buffet, they are instead prepared fresh to order. There was no meat carving station as there had been previously. Also, the chilled shrimp, although good, had their shells on & were not devained making for a bit of a mess.It was a very rainy day so the room in which the brunch was held was not very full; maybe about 24 people total while we were there. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive, keeping our coffee cups filled throughout our meal.

Ok it's just me I guess since most of the reviews are 4 or 5 "stars", but I just hate it when places offer "inspired" dishes by adding blue cheese, guacamole, hoisin sauce, hollandaise (sexy fries) or pickled this and that to food that is perfectly good without the inspiration. It must be a millennial thing and I just don't like it. A steak like Peter Luger prepares is classic, don't mess with it. Classics become classic because they are perfect or near perfect as they are. I hated the French Onion soup, the Vidalia onions may have been the culprit. The filet mignon was spot on. The problem is that filets are among my least favorite cuts of beef, but adding a pat of butter to it made it respectable. It is so easy to prepare a New York strip or a prime sirloin at home, I seldom order a steak out. In this case, it seemed to be the only entrée I knew I could enjoy. To shorten this a bit, of the four of us, the three others graded the evening's experience 3 "stars". So I awarded 3 for both food and value.

Based on trip advisor reviews, we came here for lunch. I am sorry to say but this was a very disappointing experience. They were nearly out of things we wanted off the menu. The excuse was that they really have a small kitchen and can’t store that much. I wound up with a baked potato. I forget what my husband got. He had wanted a tuna fish sandwich but they were out of tunafish for a sandwich. I couldn’t believe it. The place seemed to be popular with the locals including a contingent of policemen. But we definitely will not return.

Everyone there is so cordial and helpful. It shows when people like their job. Food was delicious and well prepared. You won't believe how much food you get for a mere $5 on Wednesday. Nice selection of craft beer. They even have a wine on tap. Reservations are recommended. Treat yourself to a good summer night out that won't break the bank. We have been to Parc Bistro many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. However on this trip, we held a small birthday party to celebrate my husbands 50th. We were looking for a place that was charming with good food, that would be centrally located for multiple friends. Parc Bistro fit the bill and did not disappoint. We sat upstairs where it was quiet enough to hear each other without taking over the room with our noise. The waitress did a great job explaining the specials and answering questions on food portions, ingredients, and drink options. Everyone was extremely satisfied with their meals and there were many to go bags. In the end we had a wonderful experience and it was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday with close friends.

They must do something right, but it's not cheese steaks or maybe my standard are too high (Sylvia's in Hatboro). Usually when I visit a pizza, steaks and hoagie place, I'll order a cheese steak figuring if it's good, I'll return.Well the first time, I was impressed when it arrived, it was huge, but after a second look I noticed how finely the meat had been chopped. This could be a clue as to the quality of the meat they use. I took a bite and it was just as I remembered, kind of blah. The onion was finely chopped and sparse as to be unnoticeable and they skimped on the cheese so that most of the sandwich was very dry.Normally the first visit would have been my last, but a group of guys in our development have a lunch once a month with someone selecting the venue. I should have chosen something else, but I thought the cheese steak couldn't really be that bad. It was.No matter what you choose to order, our staff is incredibly passionate about always showcasing authentic and perfectly prepared dishes. From the cheese steaks to the pizzas and beyond -- everyone here knows how important it is to uphold the high standards in cooking that we hold ourselves to, and we're sorry to know that you weren't left with this same impression. We'll be sure to touch on your concerns right away, and here is truly hoping that we have the chance to welcome you back for the perfect meal that we're all about.Sincerely,Matt, Steve, and Jon Moccia
