Reviewed By ChasinBaseballWe needed a simple thrifty overnight on our way to Alpine which usually meant the budget chain motels, but took this on a whim through Booking.com :) It's a little slice of history filled with fabulous artifacts and photographs. The extended grounds looked so inviting, we'll likely stay again.Take a look at the photos.

Reviewed By stevewC5148YNThe hotel was very nice, there was a lovely breakfast, but what stood out was how amazing the team there were. We had to get a package sent there for us to pick up on our holiday. Our flight was also delayed, and the car hire saga took forever, but the team were so helpful in organising leaving keys for us. Really really great, cannot recommend enough. Go stay here they're awesome!

Yeah being spontaneous usually works out that way This was available at a premium from the advertised $174. Expected that would happen. The clerk at check in wasn't friendly, she had a problem with people who live at the same address having 2 different last names. Room was clean and it's off the drag by a little so at least we got decent night's sleep. As usual the curtains didn't completely close and the light outside the window kept Kathleen up. The normal trick of using pant hangers to clip them shut, was hard as the hangers were made not to be removed. A little elbow grease cured that. In the morning opening the curtains before fully dressed was s problem as there were no shears so the car parked in front of the window had a view directly in. The motel six down the street was $199, (notice a pattern here) i figured spend the $30 and get a better quality room, right... Wrong I've stayed at a lot of places and for $229 i got screwed. I mean one serving of coffee for 2 people, and when we went to open it it completely tore spilling coffee all over the floor. This used to be a quaint town with reasonable prices, but we won't be back to this hotel or this town . Show Low, Pine-Top Flagstaff all are better choices

She moved our room to the first floor as we requested, visited for a few minutes then gave us directions to a restaurant that met our expectations perfectly. She is a skilled advocate for the hotel and it’s amenities. She deserves recognition for her dedication to her job.

Payson is nestled among the Ponderosa pines and clean air of the Mogollon Rim. We are a short drive from Phoenix. The Tonto Natural Bridge, camping, hiking, fishing, hunting and boating areas are all in the area. The Comfort Inn-Payson hotel offers guest rooms with wireless Internet access. The hotel is 100% non-smoking! We are the only hotel in town with an elevator. We offer roll-aways at a nominal fee and cribs for no charge. We have cable TV with HBO. Without exception, the breakfast bar is the best in Payson. Our biggest asset is our homelike atmosphere which has people returning from the hustle and bustle of bigger towns time after time. **We are a non-smoking and pet free hotel**

Here's the breakdown: Pros: -Quiet -Location (right in the middle of town) -Friendly staff Cons: -Stained sheets -Heater was partially broken & took hours to warm up (room was freezing) Overall, this could be a decent short stay if everything in your room is functional and the sheets are properly cleaned.

Reviewed By dgott880159Exterior was dirty and had debris laying around. Breakfast was minimal and was very slim after 7:30. GFI In bathroom was totally inoperable. Ice maker had broken base. Best part of whole l experience was checking out and leaving.

Reviewed By Mariely AWhere do I even begin, Wooden Nickel Cabins is an amazing place to stay! We spend 3 nights here and let me just say it was wonderful!!!! The cabins are super cozy they have everything you need.. brand new beds, there's 2 queen beds and 1 bunk bed super comfortable. There's a full kitchen with pots and pans, utensils, toaster and coffee maker and fridge. Bathroom has towels and they also have extra blankets in case you need them! If you want to stay in they have cable so you can watch whatever you want. They also have a grill in the back if you want to grill some food. The area around it's beautiful and breathtaking!!! You can go for hikes and trust me you'll love it, if you're an outdoors person. It was our 1st time staying here but I can tell you we are DEFINITELY coming back! This place is super cozy and welcoming. When it comes to me customer service is everything and let me tell you Shannon is the most KINDEST most WONDERFUL person there is. She made sure we were comfortable and she was there to answer any and all questions I had! People like her definitely make a difference! They also have a play ground if you have little ones and if you need any groceries or anything the town is about a 20 minute drive so it's not bad at all. Wooden Nickle is definitely a 10 out of 10 for me, I would recommend to ANYONE! If you're looking for a place to spend a couple of days or a weekend getaway in Payson or close to it this place is the place to stay seriously amazing! Super affordable.

Reviewed By I7025HYbeckyl❌ Buyer beware I would never Recommend this hotel. The owner Tom is the rudest and Unprofessional. Telling me he don’t have time for this. What to help your customers? I called him from the highway that was close down and was stuck on for 4 1/2 hours do you a severe accident. police started to escorted everyone off and said that it would not be cleared for another four hours. We had no way of getting to his property and he would not return our money back to us and said we were just out $190.00 Not even willing to move it to the following week. Last time I check being a good human in business is still doing the right thing unfortunately he doesn’t know what the right thing is . If you feel the same way make sure to use your money somewhere else so you ensure yourself a good time. I also regret not looking at his reviews because they’re all bad reviews as well.
