Excellent hushpuppies, complementary, with butter, are perfect with jalapeño and onion.
The fish n chips were excellent. Massive pieces of crispy fried cod. The fried shrimp had a bit heavier batter than I prefer but the shrimp were large and they were cooked perfectly. Roasted red potatoes were very good, slaw was better than most.

It was hot, we wanted ice cream and this place we had to try. OMG, the Apple Pie Ice Cream was amazing!! They have lots of flavors, you can get in a cup or a cone. We will definitely be going back!

My wife and I have eaten at Taste of Europe three times over several years. The most recent was after Thanksgiving 2017. Ignore the neighborhood which may put off some folks. This business is a combination restaurant and store that stocks foods, stackable dolls, clothing...from Russia and Eastern Europe. The restaurant menu is similar - Russian foods and Eastern European (Poland, Hungary, Germany...). Prices may seem a tad high but portions are large (expect to share and/or take home food) and food is freshly and tastefully prepared/plated.. On this visit, my wife had the cabbage blintzes and I had JaegerSchnitzel. Both excellent and quite tasty. Wife also tried cold Borsch (Beet) soup and i tried the Sorel (spelling?) a sour soup with other veggies.
The restaurant has a nice selection of Russian and European beers (and I think? wine). We each tried a great cold draft - A Hefeweizen and another beer (?). We then splurged and had coffees and the sweet cheese Pierogis (oh so luscious). Made with Farmers Cheese if you are familiar with this cheese.
Service was excellent. Michael (proprietor) routinely makes the rounds and assists in serving. He even helped me to select some Russian cookies and chocolate to take to my sister-in-laws mother (born in Russia) in Wisconsin in an upcoming trip.
As you may know, Taste of Europe was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives (Food Network channel). This in itself speaks highly of the establishment. Better yet, if you enjoy Russian and/or Eastern European foods and like adventure, you will be thrilled to try this business. Walk around and enjoy the store, selection of Russian Military and Police badges, buttons, hats... and other genuine merchandise.

We stopped because it was beside my Mom's hair salon. WOW, what a great choice! Excellent breakfast, great little Café... with very reasonable prices. If everything on their menu is as good as breakfast then this is a gem. We can't wait to visit this restaurant again.

We drive out of our way to go to this Braum's. The service is always great here and they always have fresh food, unlike some other locations. This location is always clean inside and they make a mean shake :D

I can see why this is the #1 dining spot in Arlington. It has a unique atmosphere, a bit loud inside though. We chose the catfish, chicken fingers and chicken fried steak, all which were very very good. Sides are just like grandma makes....absolutely everything was delicious right down to the fluffy biscuits.Green beans and corn tasted like they came right out of the garden. Loved the sorghum and honey on the table to drown your biscuits in. Service was pretty good , just a bit slow on the drink refills. We will be back to visit when in town.

These donuts are perfection. We have two favorites (other is a warm Krispy Kreme) but we love Shipley's. You better get there early though, they run out quick no matter what day of the week it is. They have awesome donut holes and creme filled donuts, and you can't go wrong with a sausage kolache with cheese. And service here is always awesome, always.

We have dined many times at Jade Café. It is never crowded so you can get in and enjoy without a wait in some line. The food is consistently good and priced right. We particularly enjoy their delivery service where we can order by phone and within minutes it is at our doorstep. We dine in often and use the delivery service nearly as often.
Recently, we ordered food for a party at our home. It was ready right on time, there was plenty of it, and our guests were surprised at the choice of a Jade Café meal at home. It was the source of many compliments!
This is a single family owned/run business and the kind of business I like to use. Try it some evening when you are tired and do not want to cook - or when only Chinese food will solve your hunger. You will not be disappointed.

This is the place is where a deep love of tortilla soup 1st started. I have tried this soup in many, many places over the years, but El Chico holds the title of one of the best. Tonight, it was just as good as always. The grilled chicken salad was plentiful, and good , though the bottom of the bowl was floating in water. The top shelf guacamole was just right. Next time, I will be headed for the nachos.

Ate here because of the sandwich special offered on tuesdays. A small original for 2.99, no subs allowed. Love the thick crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside bread that envelopes fresh deli meats and cheese. Veggies on sandwich were fresh as well. Clean restaurant and quick service. Ill be back. A free cookie deal if u fill out receipt within 3 days, and write code on it.
