'El Mirador' is a friendly and inviting hotel and the only one in Pacasmayo where you can take in panoramic views of the beautiful landscape, sunsets, beach and ocean. All are warmly welcome here, but beach lovers and surfers particularly enjoy our heavenly weather, and the amazing waves that our Peruvian sea brings us. We promote a fun and relaxed atmosphere for our guests, and offer an ample outside lounging area, including; two grass lawns with hammocks, Ping-Pong, Table Football and Pool tables and a large shaded seating area.

Reviewed By sbayjaneWe stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We had the top room with kitchen that was on the road. Even though the traffic was busy early in the morning we adjusted to sleeping early and waking early. The views from the kitchen lounge area was excellent. Found the large local markets with all the fresh produce you could want with a tottus near by. Parades, music, fishing, surfing ands lots of local restaurants at a low price. Give Pacasmayo a visit, if surfing is not on your calendar just spend a few days with the locals.

Reviewed By gweeboonhiahThe portions we’re huge. The food may not be of excellent quality but it was better than average. High ceilings provided much fresh air from the ocean. Very pleasant for lunch. Staff were very helpful and prices very reasonable.

Great place, great hosts
Reviewed By 177robfJessica and Carlos were great! The rooms are simple, clean and affordable. They have a lovely space to chill out/ take a beer and are always happy to help. In fact, Carlos was insistent on taking me to the hospital and another doctor after a kitesurfing injury. They were also happy for me to hang my gym rings right outside the room, perfect! Great hospitality.

Reviewed By javiereN7382TYI was hosted there 3 or 4 times in different months (different years since 2017). The Duke Hostel is an old building really close to the beach, the local market, banks and restaurants. To myself this place is really special, because Otto, as an old-school surfer, gives me lots of advises about how to ride El faro (the mitical slab there) and after all these conversations I consider him a friend. The rooms are clear, modest and really basic. It is really helpful could use the small kitchen after to buy fish in the fish terminal. I recommend this place to surfers, watermen, and people which are looking for a modest and quiet place. Definitely the Duke have a great atmosphere, because of this I want to go back there after the current lockdown.
