Had heard great reviews of this grill, but it came up short.
Nice space, simply decorated.
The meats were very good quality. However, the actual grilling was sub-par. My bife ancho, or prime rib, was tender, but not charred. This is a difficult cut to enjoy in Peru, generally though. My wife had a similar experience with her lomo fino or filet mignon. The sides were just ok.
I know that Oxapampa doesn't boast many good restaurants and that the locals cook 'their way'. I will probably stay away from this place.

Very good quality of food. Excellent staff (so friendly). Here (probably most of Oxapampa) the ingredients taste as they should. Beef tenderness is ok and its very tasty. Regarding the hen soup,you can tell the hen has run free in the country (not like the chickens you buy in the supermarket). Tomatoes are tomatoes and so on. Good price for what you get. Don't miss the quito juice!

When you visit Oxapampa, go to this Pastryshop for your daily shot of caffeine! Their Cafe Pasado is very good. Also the espresso or cappuccino is great; thanks to their Jura machine. Leave room for cakes because their range of delicious cakes is huge! You can get them per piece, but they also have big Tortas which are very nicely decorated. No sweet tooth? Empanadas or other snacks are available too to go with your coffee! People are friendly. Very busy place and there is a reason for that! We really liked it!

Visitamos la granja de DeliFrance que queda en Oxapampa, invitados por los dueños. Realmente impresionante como crian los animales para luego elaborar los productos que venden que son extraordinarios. Toda la crianza es ecológica y no utilizan productos que puedan contaminar. Los anfitriones fueron muy amables. Luego nos invitaron a realizar una degustación de algunos de sus productos que estaban muy rico.

We initially had some pasta here and it was really tasty so we decided to come back and try their pizza. It was equally yummy and freshly prepared. The service is very friendly and efficient and they also sell very affordable wines, bottles or by the glass. Lovely wooden chalet style interior too. I would definitely recommend.

During our 3 days in Oxapampa region we came here several times. Their coffee is just great and we had a very tasty apple pie too. The empanadas with chorizo, ham and cheese were also very good. The service is friendly and the outdoor tables are perfect for people watching.

We ordered various plates and all of them where delicious! I especially liked the chicharon de cerdo, it was just perfect. The schnitzel was also good along with the local fruit drink, quito-quito. The plates were big and we share two plates among three persons. Would definitely return!

We loved visiting and eating at Mama Frida. The food was sooo good and the service excellent and the service delightful. Enjoyed seeing the photos from years past as we knew Tia Frida, the sweet lady who inspired his grandson to open this place.
