Good location in the centre of town
Reviewed By Calli SThis is a nice hostel in a good location. Unfortunately we do not speak portuguese so struggled a bit finding anything out...but the tourist information in town is excellent for this too. There is a free breakfast which is awesome :) and a lovely deck area to eat it. There is also filtered water and towels are available to rent... Really recommend a city/mine tour from Herculean, a guide from tourist information. All up, an average but clean and centrally located hostel with a good breakfast.

Reviewed By danpadvisorSuper cute hostel nestled in the centre of Ouro Preto. It’s very small so the rooms are a bit tight and the layout lacks privacy. The common areas are awesome, with pool, video games, and a kitchen. The breakfast is really not good - but fills a hole. The staff are brilliant - very friendly and helpful! We loved our stay!

With more than 20 years of history in Ouro Preto, the Brumas is one of the first hostels of the tourist city that is Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Being one of the first of this hotel follow-up and contributing to the development of the tourist activity in the city are reasons of great pride for the founders and the whole team. Over the years, Brumas has established itself as a plural hostel that welcomes diverse types of publics, youth, students, university professors, couples, families, school groups, artistic groups, among others. In these 20 years, there were not many people who came here and helped in the construction of the hostel. The Brumas is now housed in a 19th century manor house with a lot of history and tradition.
Very well located, but quite outdated and a bit smudgy.
Reviewed By Jurre SIt's a big hostel and good for groups ore families. The location is one of its best points. The room is a bit filthy. The bed linen were a bit smudgy and the bathroom is so outdated that I can imagine it's almost impossible to keep it nice and clean. Also the window in our room was broken so it's always open.

Reviewed By thiagovcmO hostel tem boa localização, é próximo das principais atrações de Ouro Preto, da para conhecer a cidade à pé, não precisa de carro. A equipe é receptiva, porém alguns fatores deixaram a desejar como a higiene em geral dos banheiros, além de roupa de cama muito desgastadas.

Close of some of main places of the city, what allows you to go by foot this hostel is not expensive according to those advanges. The spirit of old Minas Gerais State can be found there. A huge old house in good conditions. Simplicity without lack of confort, even for people that come for backpac trip. The owners are very friendly and open mind couple. I really loved meet them. They struggling for make É Hostel a better place for receive families, people who came alone for expirience, and anybody who dont care for luxury, but a low cost and clean organized place. This is why we back there in future, if God allow me.
