Relaxing staycation away from the city
Reviewed By AnnieLow95A relaxing getaway from the city. I have been to many hotels and motels in NZ. This is one of the best I have been. It is very spacious, tidy and clean. Bedroom and lounge is separated, there is also cooking facilities including the induction cooktop, microwave, toaster, kettle & a fridge for you to cook a simple meal. Nice view from the balcony. The room I stayed in has a spa pool, so you can relax and unwind. Staff are friendly and approachable . Overall, an amazing weekend for two. Would highly recommend this motel to any couple. :)

Comfortable Apartments in the Orewa Beach Village, self service but surrounded by Cafes and Restaurants. Secure parking, Gym, Sauna, Spa and heated Lap Pool. Lots of walks and cycle ways, plenty of fresh sea air. Ocean views for you, come along! Completely refurbished on 2020 so an ideal spot for your stay, see you soon!

Reviewed By Katherine AThis room was spectacular. I highly recommend this if you are in a group of the or more, because the price is less than that of the two cheapest rooms, yet it is glorious! A 220sqm penthouse on level 10 with huge views. The staff were responsive. My only niggles were (1) it was somebody's apartment, so there was a nespresso machine but no pods provided, and their own centralised, complicated system for the three TVs and (2) we were charged $40 more per night on the phone than the online price (FYI cant seem to book this room from Wyndham Ramada website - must go to nautilus Orewa site), (3) the main entry seems a bit finicky with residents seemingly occasionally having trouble getting in too. The heated pool is wonderful with views of the huge Norfolk pines around and if you're tall, the sea. The two heated spas are fabulous. Covid- wise, I felt safe, with signs not allowing strangers to use lifts at the same time.

We are a purpose built backpackers with two dorms as well as private rooms including en-suited rooms. We cater not only for backpackers but all travellers incl families as our rooms sleep up to five having double beds and bunks in them We are in Orewa Beach central just across the road from the beautiful Orewa beach and a short stroll to Orewa cafes and shops easy walk to the supermarket All our rooms open onto a closed courtyard where there are tables and shade umbrellas and a bbq area We offer kayaks for hire as well as complimentary fishing takle and boogie boards buckets and spades for the kids. We maintain a 10:30pm curfew to preserve the privacy and enjoyment of all guests however do provide facilities out front to carry on longer away from the other guests rooms.

The 'kitchen was fly invested, there was almost no cutlery, dirty pots and pans, food in a cupboard that had been there for weeks or longer, even the flies were not interested. When i used the comforter, i woke up an hour later covered in bites. i got rid of that and used my towel as a blanket, no more trouble. Owner does not give a damn about this dump, goes there to get the money and that is all Also there are a bunch of local bus that stay there, i was kept awake by their noise and woken up by some drunk at about 0200

Reviewed By Bridget P5/5. Prime location and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble even when I phoned after hours. Would highly recommend staying here. Excellent off street parking and the room was well appointed and clean. Situated directly across from the beach and close to cafes.

Old BUT clean Motel direct access to beach, some units front right onto beach. Seven or eight minute walk down the beach to Orewa Restaurants and shops. Ideal for Families and or couples, with several different room formats.
Comfortable night
Reviewed By 478mervsWell worn and showing it’s age but spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great comfortable bed, plenty of towels and as a bonus a heap of coffee and chocolate sachets in the kitchen. Usually stay up the road but from now on I’ll stick with Edgewater.

Reviewed By marysM6864JEI have been coming to the Orewa Camp ground for the past 6 years. When I first started coming It was a privately owned site. It was absolutely beautiful. Why:? * Staff managing the office were always helpful, polite and genuinely interested if there was a concern * The cabins, both standard and Deluxe were always beautifully clean. * The cleaning staff would stop by and ask if there was any thing I needed, towels, tea towels * When I stayed in a standard cabin ( which was only once ) the toilet and shower block were always sparkling clean. I believe that the camp site is now owned by Auckland City Council. i have just had spent 4 nights in a Deluxe cabin and was dreadfully disappointed with the cabin and the camp site. Why ? * We arrived 10 minutes early , 10 to 2 to take possession of the cabin. our reception at the desk was met with an extremely brisk response, " it is not 2 ' o' clock ' Give me strength!! I thought.. * We returned to the office at 10 past 2 to pick up the key. Great we were ready to start our beach holiday. The key we were given had no. 15 on it,, but cabin 15 was already occupied!!! So , back to the office . A different office manager convinced us that it was still being cleaned !! Oh no we said there is family there. Back to the office!! He laughed and said oh I have given you the wrong key. !!!! * Finally got inside and unpacked. * We had to follow The Rules. On leaving strip beds and put sheets in one bag, towels in another.!! Are the staff unable to strip the beds? * Dishes time very little dish wash liquid so had to chase around back to get some more. * When my daughter lifted the pillow on the divan bed, horrors a big clump, of human hair !!!! * We used the frying pan, but nothing to clean it, no scrub pad . Not sure if I will be back sadly. Although I really love the beach and the cafe's.

A gem of a find
Reviewed By I498VUrobinpBeautifully appointed one or two bedroom 'chalets' with living area, well-quipped kitchen, bathroom with excellent shower, TV (including Netflix), and wi-fi. Spotlessly clean and well maintained with nice bed linen. The location is superb with a New World supermarket 150 metres away and a beautiful three kilometre safe swimming beach 300 metres further on. With an abundance of cafes and restaurants along the beach boulevard, it is difficult to find a more perfect area for a break. It is excellent value for money and we will certainly return.
