So glad we happened upon this restaurant solely by chance. Simple pure but authentic menu , nice portion sizes expertly prepared, comfortable warm ambience, and very friendly service. We went back again two nights later and were left feeling much too full but soooo happy. Really great place, priced very fairly - don't Miss it! We will always remember our experience there. Thanks Caccia e Pesca.

A very enjoyable meal. We were seated straight away, inside as outside was full but we turned up at peak time so our own fault. The interior is really nice, gives a different feel to the rest of Orbetello. The staff are friendly and helpful; especially sympathetic to us English who aren't great with Italian. A small but delicious menu with lots of specials on offer. We had a steak dish which was perfectly cooked. They have a great range of local wines which are discounted if you are eating with them. Try their local house wine, goes incredibly well with the steak. Other things to note are self service snacks if you're having a drink, and the toilets are very clean and tidy. Slightly pricy but well worth it.

The site of this bistro is really pleasant, into the freight yard of the former Orbetello railway station; the large courtyard in front of the small building allows you to have your own meal outdoors, under the umbrellas. The Orbetello lagoon is just steps away. The food is appreciable (not exceptional anyway). We ordered four different first courses, some of which based on seafood pasta; then, two plates of local cold cuts (each plate is intended for two people). The service is questionable. Instead of a regular bill, we only got our receipt for the credit card payment (121 euros for four people); this receipt, not being analytical, obviously doesn't allow any guarantee that the bill is regular. Unfortunately, I payed attention on this service flaw only after leaving the restaurant. My fault!

This wonderful, family-run restaurant was only 10 minutes from our hotel, Il Pellicano, in Porto Ercole. The dining room is quiet and elegant , service is excellent, menu is compact but everything on the menu is prepared to gourmet standards and the plate presentations are impeccable. Pricing is more than fair, portions are generous, wine list is adequate and very reasonable. We liked it so much we rebooked for the next night. La Vivienda does not appear on a lot of the searches for restaurants near Porto Ercole, and that's a shame because it's so good
