I love a fall drive and the parkway from Gananoque to Brockville in the fall is a feast for the eyes. A feast for the tastebuds is this quaint take out fish and chip store that has been in business for 84 years. The latest owner has added her unique twist and flavour to batter and sauces which leaves you wanting to return. We ordered the seafood dish, which consisted of home made battered shrimp, cod, and clam strips. Delicious, as were the fries. Friendly, family-oriented, and just plain old fashioned "being" made this a must pop back in again. Not fancy, just hometown great. Its keeping it real and doing it so each customer walks away feeling connected. It warrants yet another drive to Brockville.Thank you for the kind words and the reviewHope to see you and your mother again.

I have had catered parties there, breakfast buffet and menu choice, a plate of fish and chips after golfing. Staff is great and never a complaint about the food.Thanks Cheryl. Golf's a few months away but we are here all winter. See you soon.

I had dinner at Capt. George Restaurant last night. We enjoyed our meal. The service was excellent. I find the waitresses have always been polite and enjoyable to talk to.Try their shrimp. It is very good. The clam chowder soup is excellent.

Steve's Fish & Chips is a take out only restaurant offering the best fish and seafood in Brockville.They also serve subs, salads and poutine always with a smile and a big thank you. The prices are great very much affordable for the working family.Give Steve's a try, you will be glad you did.
