We had dinner twice in this charming and genuine okinawan restaurant. The owners were so nice with us and the dishes were all just delicious. We had awesome advocado tempuras, sashimi fresh and tasty and a unique Soba soup. Prices are reasonable according to the quality and the good moments we spent. We recommend highly this small restaurant for the warm welcome and for the dishes.

In Okinawa, there is few people who can speak English, so understand there menu is really a challenge because no one could explain it to you. But fortunately, I found this restaurant, English menu is available upon request, they also have Chinese menu, it's really a great place for foreigners.

Great burger, yummy guacamole served with warm taco-flavored Doritos - a surprisingly good combo. Fries were more like potato wedges.

Let me first say the food here is pretty good but by no means is it the "best burger ever" as some people rave about here. I have lived right around the corner of this place for as long as I can remember it being there but have only been there twice. The reason is the parking is horrible and the locals like this place so it is busy at times. If it is busy be prepared to wait. I don't mind waiting a bit, because I fully understand that good food takes time to prepare. At my latest visit my daughter only wanted to order fries. We walked in a after about two mins was able to flag down one of the wait staff. We were standing and she handed us menus. When we were ready to order we flagged down the only other wait staff member and when we tried to order the girl was in a panic and explained to us that there were many other people in front of us and seemed like she was bothered that we were talking to her in front of the other people, whom I could not see. I have worked in much larger and much busier restaurants in NY and one thing I know is that when the place is jammed you don't make excuses you make concessions. At least be polite, offer us a seat and a glass of water and say you will be right with us, don't loose it. The place was full so the people must be going their for something but the management needs to learn how to get a quality meal off the stove quickly and efficiently.I would first like to sincerely apologize for the poor service that you received during your visit to Woody's. The staff and I sat down to address your concerns and although we were experincing a variety of problems that day, short staffed, broken fryer... this is no excuse for the service shown towards you and your daughter. I am truly sorry. I really took to heart your comment that stated, " when you are jammed, you don't make excused, you make concessions " I think this is so true, and we will do our best to make less excuses and more concessions. I realise that you aren't thinking of returning to Woody's after having such a regretable experience, but I would like to ask you for a chance to make it up to you. I would like to invite both you and you daughter and/ or guest for lunch on me. All of our food is scratch made, and am usually very proud of what comes out of our kitchen, which makes your review sting all the more. I appreciate your honest comments and we will all make a sincere effort to better Woody's in both front and back of house and insure our customers have a delicous experience. Please email me anytime if you are interested in taking me up on that free lunch. [email protected] Again, I apologize for the poor service, and I thank you for your honest comments.Sincerely,Chris WoodOwner / Chef , Woody's
