I had never been to Steak Escape before and I was very pleased with my lunch here the other day. It is becoming more and more trendy for restaurants to prepare your food in front of you and that's exactly what they do here. My sandwich was great and everyone I was with was very pleased with our experience as well. We will definitely be back!

We have dined here many times, and always look forward to a trip to Easton so we can dine at The Ocean Club. Simply put, the food and service are always top-notch. The wine list is extensive, so we always find a great bottle that pairs perfectly with our dinners. The restaurant is nicely appointed, and dining here is relaxing and enjoyable. But, be prepared - it can be a bit pricey...but it is worth it!Thank you for your kind words. We are so glad that you enjoy your meal with us and appreciate your support. Without the flamboyance of many of the reviews... I will nonetheless agree in kind.Steaks were done properly, and of exceptional quality.Prices are very HIGH. Crowd was lowbrow... typical for a âmall communityâ.Service was pretty good.I did like the fact that side-dishes were served âfamily styleâ; ample portions , enough for sharing/sampling.You will NOT walk away hungry. ...broke, but not hungry. Expect about $140 to 180 per couple.

Our reservation was for 7:30. We finally placed our order at 8:15. The salad arrived at 8:35. Not sure what the problem was. Our server, Jackson was the bright spot of the evening, very personable and accommodating. I was about to order the lobster risotto, then he told us that "there is no lobster meat in the dish, just lobster stock".Our entrees were good, although the mushroom risotto that accompanied mine was hopelessly over-cooked mush and not edible. We had not been back to this restaurant in a very long time, and sadly, its kitchen has gone down in quality quite a bit. With tip, our two entrees and two drinks totaled $117, which is quite a bit for just ok food. The table across from us sent one of their entrees back twice, and it took forever for the kitchen to get it right. There was a time when this restaurant was a consistent, high-quality, nice experience. Unfortunately, like many other restaurants, the clientele now wear jeans, shorts, t-shirts, flip-flops, and even pajamas. The manager should give Jackson a huge bonus.

Hubby & I stopped during the week for dinner about 530-545pm. We found it unusually crowded for a weekday! We were able to get seated & ordered a few minutes after 6pm. The waitress got our order in right away, so each meal was $8.99. Hubby raves over chicken critter salad & I had sirloin with sauteed mushrooms: includes 2 sides too They usually have happy hour specials or drink specials till 7pm. Call ahead to get your name on waitlist prior to arriving, even during the week!

Hubby and I had reservations and arrived early after a shopping trip at Polaris Mall. Overwhelmed hostess so we waited in a line for 6 minutes to be even acknowledged. Everything changed when we got seated in Chickâs station. He gave us great suggestions for food - which we took happily - and provided attentive service! Food items NOT to miss: Queso with lobster, spinach salad, strip steak with blue cheese and mushrooms! Thank you, Chuck, we will be back!

I recently visited Eddie Merlotâs after a couple of years and Iâm still pleased with the ambience, service and quality of food. We had the calamari appetizer and the filet mignon king crab oscar with a side of Eddieâs scalloped potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. For dessert we had strawberry shortcake-it was much larger than expected and quite good. Add a few glasses of wine and the bill gets hefty but itâs well worth it. Iâm glad to see that this restaurant is still at the top of their game even after Jeff Rubyâs opened.
