Despite it being a very cold December evening, we decided to have dinner at La Corniche - we had been before in the summer, and enjoyed it very much so were looking forward to a return visit. It was again, just wonderful. Five courses for â¬30 all cooked to perfection. AND we were the only diners...but this not matter - it was like having a private chef looking after us. The timing between each course was just right too....so it was a very enjoyable evening......looking forward to going again !

We had lunch here, just a quiche, salad and chips, fresh, tasty and made locally. The rose wine was AOC carafe and was delicious and reasonably priced, unusual in places that are frequented by tourists. We like this place, it has a 'grotto' feel to it, almost like being in the caribbean! It is great to be by the river and we can easily lose track of time here, especially when the rose is so good!

We happened to be walking through St Antonin noble Val, at lunch time, we were lucky to find La Noble Pie and enjoyed the most beautiful beef bourguignon pie, for me and quiche for my husband. Lovely light pastry, made with skill, perfectly seasoned beef filling for the pie, and a savoury quiche full of flavour, we did enjoy, if your not after a big lunch, but full of taste and great value then this is the place.

We stumbled across this restaurant in the historic centre of the town behind the museum. We loved the location and the whole experience did not disappoint. Great ambience, comfortable seats in the shade. Lunch was the menu du jour which was ham and melon followed by linguini with Ragut- excellent and good value for 14 E. They also make an excellent Aperol Spritz and the Pizzas and Calzones looked amazing!

I was visiting a relative in this area and he suggested we eat at this place on a Monday night when few places were open. I am glad we gave this place some business on a cool damp night. They had a lovely terrace overlooking the river which would have been a great place to eat in better weather.The menu contained items that are rare in the U.S. but I remember fondly from living in Europe years ago. I had a delicious trout gravalax and perfectly cooked guinea hen, a bird I always liked but virtually never can find. My relative thinks that there are two other really good restaurants in this town, which weren't open that night, but we feel you can't go wrong with this one.

We visited Le Festin de Babette by chance, having wandered around Saint Antonin Val Noble yesterday evening. Proved to be a very good find. The children were well catered for with good quality choices, including mini plates from the main menu. The adults enjoyed a range of well prepared varied dishes. All in all a lovely meal. Why only four stars? Just as the main course was served we suffered an invasion of thousands of moths/flies(?) attracted to the outside lights. Our waitress was really good and switched off the lights immediately and gave us little led candles to eat by, telling us that they only arrive for 20 minutes every evening!!! Will we return? Yes, although we may time our meal a little earlier!!! Highly recommended for the food, friendly service and value for money.

Le Moulin de Varen is now in its third year with the new owners and is excellent. We enjoyed it from the start but there have been steady, small changes that have improved things further and it is now purring along!. Fish is a speciality with some excellent dishes. The St Jacques are always delicious. There is always a veggie option for starter and main. The wines are predominantly local but over the last two years other options have been added from other regions. The salon has air-conditioning, which is great at this time of year. The service is excellent - friendly and very efficient. It is a great place for a mixed group of veggies, pescatarians and meat eaters to enjoy together and that is important.

Two visits in as many days. Lunch was as ever fresh, delicious and excellent value for money. We had the vegetable tart which came with a perfect tabbouleh salad. Dessert was a truly scrumptious creme brulee on a bed of confit citron. As always, everything was home made. Fred and Fred are the perfect hosts. Warm and friendly at all times and service prompt, efficient and with a smile! On the following day we popped on for coffee. Same friendly welcome, same excellent service and the best coffee in St. Antonin!

For more than ï¬fteen years, we have enjoyed Hostellerie du Parc, which has been reinvented as au Jardin des Saveurs. We were there on a quiet day and were given a very friendly welcome and excellent service by la patronne herself. The cooking was very good, though much different from the ancien régime; with some novel touches.âRis de veau aux morilles was more delicate, less dark and rich, than the encien regime's version, in a more contemporary portion size.âSubjectively, I would say that Pascalâs main courses are very professional and textbook, while his puddings are more from the heart: the opposite way round from his predecessor.âMy wife had a delicate ï¬lo parcel of ï¬gs and grapes, while I chose trufï¬n à la griotte sur sa dacquoise, delightful and indulgent.âWe understand that they are renovating the place themselves while keeping it openâa mammoth undertakingâand we wish them the success that they clearly deserve.
