Reviewed By MaKu70We stayed at the Aschlandhof for a long weekend of hiking and good food. Our room was nice & clean and offered a great view of the valley and mountains. The staff was friendly and the breakfast offered everything we needed.

Reviewed By EmmytravelWe stayed one night at gastehaus Fitsch and we loved it. Wished we could had stayed longer. We felt us immediately at home because of the warm and cosy atmosphere. We loved arriving there, it's beautiful located between the mountain meadows and the Alps on the background, the house is what you imagine of a typical Alp house; wood all over the place, colourful flowers in the front. The room was comfortable, soft beds and it was very quiet inside and outside the gastehaus. Friendly hosts as well and we liked the breakfast, it was varied and tasteful, only the coffee could be better, tea would have been a better choice. It's a good location near the Fernpass and as a starting for walks. We definitely want to go back there!

Reviewed By bartlomiejp2014Hotel and apartment where we stayed was good enough for us. It is not fancy place but the stuff was friendly and we had a good stay there. Pool and sauna area are very good and you can really relax. Good breakfast.

Mountain beauty!
Reviewed By JacalopeWe were looking for a place to stop between Klagenfurt and Stuttgart and we always enjoy small places in the mountains. We found this place and were interested. The photos were beautiful. Arriving was a bit of an expedition, but GPS did not fail us. The location is as gorgeous as the photos - a high valley in the midst of the mountains. Amazing scenery and located in a small farming community. We were greeted by the daughter and her little baby boy. She showed us around, provided the key and asked us when we would like breakfast. The building with 10 or so rooms was constructed in the early 2000s. Our room was comfortable with a lovely shared balcony and amazing views. The room was small but functional with comfortable bedding. There was a good sized closet and table with 2 chairs. At the entry is a roomy spot to hang your coats (an necessity for winter/skiing travelers). Also you are asked to leave your shoes at the front or on mats near the room. Breakfast was good with amazing homemade butter, cheeses and cold meats. Coffee with milk, orange juice, waffles, jam and honey, rye bread, semmels and rolls. We had an egg on the second day but not the first (I think she just forgot). We enjoyed walking through the meadow (saw several deer, enjoyed the sound of the bells on the cattle) and to a nearby waterfall. The scenery is exquisite. The mountains, the villages and in the evening the stars! Wow! We would certainly return and recommend this place.

Reviewed By sonjaw417Wij zijn hier 2 nachten geweest. De kamers zijn mooi en Oostenrijks ingericht. Alles is erg schoon. Een heerlijk balkon met comfortabele stoelen en stoelkussens. Een fijne zithoek in de kamer. Het ontbijt heel erg goed. Erg genieten is de sauna. Echt heel sfeervol ingericht. Je voelt je heel welkom hier! We keren hier zeker terug.

Reviewed By Marco RL'alloggio si trova in un luogo splendido, ai piedi delle Alpi austriache. Appartamento spazioso e confortevole che noi abbiamo usato al minimo poiché ci siamo trattenuti solo una notte. La proprietaria è una signora deliziosa, premurosa. Ci ha immediatamente aiutato per la cena prenotando al ristorante nei pressi dell'alloggio e che avrebbe chiuso la cucina a breve. Comodissimo il parcheggio proprio davanti alla struttura.

Taking more care for money than for guests
Reviewed By DH030Can’t tell anything about the rooms, although we would have liked to sleep there. Can’t tell anything about the breakfast, although we would liked to have breakfast. Can’t tell anything about the restaurant, althoug we would liked to have dinner there. But I can tell you about the non-hospitality and the way they deal with guests. So what happened? On our way to Italy we selected this gasthof to stay overnight if we could make it on time. When we saw we could make it we made our reservation (on another website) for this day, Friday. When we wanted to check in one hour later we saw that by accident we made our reservation on Saturday instead of today. We asked if we could change our reservation into today. “No”, said the host (black hair and glasses) with a big smile “you have to pay for Saturday as well”. Strange, even a little discount because of the situation was not possible. “You can only cancel free of charge until 42 days before the stay”. Yes sure, the room had been not available for booking for less than 1 hour. A big smile again and he walked away, leaving us at the desk. Hotelling is a job, some understand, some don’t. So if you are looking for hospitality, look further I suggest, there are a lot of great guesthouses in this area. @Gasthof Panorama: enjoy our money!
